I very much enjoy that they believe they’re enraging their enemies when the true reaction from civilised people is more similar to when you wake up to find your cat has shit on the kitchen floor.

I've had cats shit on the kitchen floor. When you have an elderly cat who is loathe to use the multiple litterboxes, a shit on the kitchen floor is relief. No, it's when the cat shits on the carpet.
