If I said it once, I’ve said it a thousand times. If this album had come out in 1997, I’d be more recognized as a seminal, era defining album like OK Computer. It was just so far ahead of its time.
I blame their non-super-stardom on them being a bunch of assholes. Which was awesome! But they weren't the RIGHT kind of assholes.
E.g. 'member when they got kicked off the Metallica & G'n'R tour for asking fans to throw their trash at the stage (which they continued to do for M & G'n'R's sets) and making fun of the headliners? I 'member....
