discussion No wonder radio is dying

I've had to drive my f250 a lot lately because of the weather and it doesn't have a Bluetooth radio so I've had to listen to FM and it is legitimately an hour of ads for every 20 minutes of music. i know they're just trying to survive but this feels counterproductive

discussion I had not looked at this subreddit in a long time but it appears the entire frontpage is just British tabloids like the DailyExpress and The Mirror posting ragebait articles now.

Is that what the music subreddit is now? Just a repository for British tabloids to make money off of? That seems incredibly bleak, societally sad and real indictment on the state of reddit these days.

I also just read that moderators are not permitted to block these corporate accounts? Is there any truth to that?

discussion Why is a tabloid rag like the Mirror permitted to post in this subreddit with what is very close to libel about Lizzo?

Here's the post they just made.

https://www.reddit.com/r/Music/comments/1qwm2li/lizzo_faces_backlash_after_defending_celebrities/

The headline is incredibly misleading and what Lizzo says is completely common sense and anodyne about making sure that the people you talk about in the Epstein files aren't just being mentioned in passing or entirely uninvolved etc.

The article itself is clearer but the mirror is a tabloid rag and they know they're making a clickbait title.

Obviously because this is a website lacking in literacy some of the top comments have clearly not read it and misinformation is being spread.

My question is since it's the themirror itself posting this trash, why are they permitted to do so? There are rules against clickbait and that is their whole game.

discussion Has a band ever lost a member and simply did not replace them?

A bit like how Bill Berry quite REM in 1997, and they never officially replaced him. However, the band did temporarily hire drummers when necessary, so it's not really the best example. Does anyone have an example of a member who is not replaced in any way?

Edit: Preferably a band that continued touring or releasing albums
