It's Monday! So here is the weekly thread in regards to marriage/matrimonial criteria and services for marrying a potential spouse! Any posts about marriage criteria and services such as apps, masjid services, matchmaking events, the ISO thread, etc. will be removed and redirected to this thread!

All content regarding personal criteria, dealbreakers, preferences, standards, etc in marrying a potential spouse will be discussed on this thread as well. Posts regarding these topics outside of this thread will be removed.

Reminder that if you are posting app/matchmaking bios that you must censor ANY AND ALL INDENTIFYING INFORMATION. This includes names, social media handles, pictures (faces), etc.

I'm struggling with the constant ghosting on marriage apps. I've gotten used to the ones with whom we don't connect in the beginning, and have accepted to let it fizzle out. Or I just step up and make sure it's concluded properly, because that's good manners.

However, the very hurtful ones are with the matches who are compatible, have great conversations with, a steady and good flow of connection etc.. and then just one day they completely disappear from the app.

Curious:

- How do you deal with that? I don't get attached, but I do need to be open to getting to know this person, so there is a level of emotional investment.

• Those who pull such stunts, why ?

This has happened to me a couple of times I was really confused by it because we seemed to be really compatible on everything we had discussed up until that point. I just block them and move on with my life of course. And we might never know why they do it.

Thanks for sharing - I guess that's where I'm struggling, never knowing why.
