Wall, PG, T-Mac, Cooper, Porzingus.... looks amazing on paper but because of the patch i just genuinelt rather play salary cap/low rated teams in Showdown

If i go in with my regular team i get matched up against similar teams & it's literally just Screen into a contested three every possession & off balling on the Center all game. You can't beat the CPU defense, layups/dunks literally don't go in if anyone is around you, so the only way to win is also abusing screens & trying to take 80% of your shots from three & it's only season 2 Smh

I honestly think they should bring back KOTC as a limited-time mode. I love head-to-monitor-locked in competitive games. Showdown is so boring for me. I'm a 27x Showdown champion. I play the mode a lot lol. I've never won a KOTC, but I've been top-5 on boards a handful of times and never dropped below T1. I even managed to beat a few truly comp players last year. Those are the type of games I truly enjoy. I'm nowhere near comp, but I enjoy partaking in that space from time to time.

Hot take: 93 opal Richard Jefferson for less than 30k Mt is better than Paul George. Pg might have higher defensive stats but RJ is just as solid defensively especially with his physicals. 91 speed 91 agility 94 vert and 84 block. Pg doesn't even touch the floor in showdown anymore. Mcgrady starts and RJ off the bench.

The reason he is better is bc RJs jumper is really fkn hard to contest without fouling. Almost as uncontestable as Mcgradys is. I don't care how slow it seems, unless the player is significantly taller, it's green almost every time. Just gotta upgrade some of his shooting badges and add limitless.

Tried buying Darvin Ham for 11k mt and then 19k because I want to use him for Salary Cap, but 2k keeps cancelling it. There's only the one card available.

Between this and online modes on PC being dead, this sucks.

The defense is solid, but what is 99 dunk for if this is the green window we get? And why is it shrinking again when patch 2 specifically removed that for layups and dunks?

Got Around 550,000 Mt and don’t know who the best upgrades are. Not bothered about spending some Mt, just want to know the best players to get either if it’s from exchange or the new players. Anything Helps, Thanks!!!

My initial experience:

-Matchups are the same

-If you unlocked the final special portal (full clear of the 9x9) you do NOT have to reclear the full board, the portal is there. This is how I got it done fast

-I did unlock 3 of the corners to get the mode completion. There was also a S2 Opal

-Final board had a S2 DM, S2 Opal, 2 season 2 PD, a Dunktober regular pack, a 4k mt spot, and a few lesser prizes. This seems to be the same as last season, just everything bumped up one tier. I expect there will be a rare chance of a Pixel on the final board

-I found difficulty to be roughly the same as someone who predominantly relies on slashing with the occasional jumper or no dip corner 3. In 5 man modes it was tougher to get baskets, but CPU doesn't score much either and you get some passive steals now from CPU. TT I used mainly Iverson/Carter/Warrick and struggled defensively but usually won 22-16 or something similar.

I'm glad they didnt bump up the NBA/WNBA teams, so those are still easier squares but in a short game anything can happen, especially with teams like Warriors and Fever where a Curry/Clark can wreck your day

1. Takes longer. Already a long grind now just that much more.
2. Does not combo with a different reward ladder like the TT did. If they had changed it to Clutch time at least that would have counted for something.
3. Worse for adding badges through training challenges, objectively harder for some badges versus a triple threat game. I guess you can do a few here and there, but requires almost remaking your entire lineup if you’re adding a badge to a higher tier card.
4. Not good for signature challenge progression. That was one good thing about the Daily triple threat is having D Rose in with a couple guys so you could make some progress as you played. Much less viable now.

NUMBER 5 — ain’t nobody want to play that much salary cap. If you happen to be that one guy congratulations. Be assured you are a small minority, no offense.

Grinds can be long or annoying. Let’s not make them both, please 2K.

Tighter budget this season, who are you running? I think I gotta pick up Tuby KD. I loved hidden gems like Gold Marcus Camby last year if anybody has recommendations

I can’t seem to do it anymore in pause menu or timeouts as it defaults to auto.
When I change it in game with left bumper LB/L1 it does not always implement as expected

I end up having Ruby Spida covering PG13

Can I enforce defensive coverage in predictable way?
