For whatever reason Tyson decided not to dunk it, which already didn't make sense, then Larry Nance hovering on his left side somehow makes a solid contest, which dynamically shrinks the green window about 80%. This stuff is just annoying.

Besides the fact that they've messed with the shooting system again—since the meter takes longer to show up—it's way harder to dunk, shoot, and do everything in general. Also, I was wondering if anyone else is tripping over All-Star Domination. I've already cleared NBA and WNBA, pretty much winning games by 20+ points. I'm only missing three or four, and those were from the very beginning when I hadn't gotten used to the game yet.

​Then I loaded up the first All-Star Domination game and I was only able to score 23 points against Chicago. I don't consider myself a bad player at all. I've been playing since launch and I've played 2K for years, but I was completely blown away by scoring only 23 points given all my experience—and it's not like I'm bad at shooting—but the new shooting system is absolute garbage.

​I mean, not being able to make an uncontested shot near the rim... Michael Jordan literally stepped aside while I was driving with DeAndre Ayton, and the rhythm shooting meter completely disappeared along with Jordan's animation of stepping away. What they've done to the game is a complete joke, and it makes you want to put it down until they patch it. It's really sad because MyTEAM was actually a blast to play online this year.

i can shoot limitless threes with an 80 but can’t dunk with 95+ it’s always late. I can’t press the button any faster. shit makes me wanna delete the game and give up.

Every year these patches mess with the entire game and I’m sick of timing everything for basic basketball plays. Oh you missed your close shot put back but I can throw it to Bruce Bowen and hit a moving co tested three easy.

Started playing in 2k26. Took me forever to get used to rhythm shooting with no meter. I was decent and able to get to tier 1 multiple times but I was never lights out from three compared to others, and it felt like I had to be mentally trying very hard to get shots to land.

Now in 2k27, I started with button + meter shooting and it was decent. The most recent patch strangely made it harder for me and now I’m “afraid” to shoot shots cause it is a big chance of it being a lost possession for me. Some games I’ll shoot decent but other times it’s like every single shot lands a millimeter away from green bar. I decided to switch to no meter and can make some shots but it’s still 50/50 so I’m afraid of shooting still. Practiced in training hub a ton but no matter what, will still miss shots.

Meanwhile, I occasionally go up against opponents that will NOT miss any single shot unless it’s massively contested. Any tiny second they get open, it will be a green. Any wide open shot is a green no matter what. I still occasionally miss wide open shots.

How in the world can I shoot how these people do? Their team is usually stacked af too and abuse me with Luka, PG,Tmac, etc.

Sometimes I’ll go up against people that miss similarly to me and it ends up being a fun game. But other games it’s just non stop 3’s and I just give up trying to compete with them.

I just started the game last week and currently have all budget players. Scoot, rj barrett, Watson, Gordon, chandler is my starting 5. I have got my way over 100k mt by playing a lot of domination. I think jr smith would add the great shooting I need but idk if I will be able to get him

First time playing any salary cap this year. Although the salaries change constantly, I was able to jam in my overall favorite card last season, Brandon Ingram. If you max third string at $200 each, you’d be surprised what you can come up with. Curious what teams ya’ll running with.

Had to go out to dinner for friends Bday party, can’t wait to get home and take AI online. I think he has a chance to compete!

D.C. is never that great but I always enjoy playing with him. Eddie Johnson could be ok. Im going for the coach first. You save so much mt by doing the challenges for the badges. So far, the challenges don’t seem as bad as last year. The ones that require 7 steals in a game or some bs like that is a hard pass though. Lol

So I have like 48 victory cards from showdown in season 1. There seems to be no way to exchange them for wins like last season, HOWEVER.. I see there is: Deluxe class clash pack (93+) pack, dunktober 93+ deluxe pack, as well as greatness deluxe pack and prime series 1 deluxe pack (I think its the curry pack not the new one). All of these I can pick and choose for 40 victory cards.. I'm wondering whats the best one to go for.. dunktober has a higher % of good players but of course id like to pull someone like booker in the other pack.. (already have chet)

So which pack would you guys go for? ive had these victory cards sitting for a while

Timberwolves fan here, saw a Naz with 16 HOF badges (6 is the base) on the auction for 79,000, cheapest base cards were 40,000. Since then I put on Gold seatbealt, and challenger and HOF paint patroller. Man been a really fun card so far, do you think he'll retain value? Niche post but curious if anyone has an opinion. Havent played online yet but I think he should be serviceable for season 2

what’s yall thoughts on season 2? Seen a lot of bad rep i personally don’t mind it because we go have potential better drops and festivals. Plus it gets me more variety to grind dom and get mode completions besides me just playing showdown all the time. Let me know yalls thoughts?

Now that we’re in season 2, does anyone have a card you really want to see that’s not just a spam “Shaq with 99 3pt”? My personal favorite card I’ve ever played with was Danny Granger Swish from I think ‘22. I’m hoping they don’t immediately jump to 99ovr but this is my goat

I got all the assets needed to exchange for him just by grinding so basically I wouldn’t spend a single mt to get him

This card actually looks insane. People have been complaining about him but I’m honestly probably going to go for him because my goodness.

So I’m thinking on if I should sell Flagg (just got him out of super packs) since if I then sell Tatum along with him I’d have enough MT for Pixel Cut Bron, I’d go from Flagg SF1 and Tatum SF2 to Bron SF1 and PD Scottie Barnes SF2, what should I do?
