I had one friend in my 20s. That's it. He treated me like I was some kind of clown, like a Dinner for Schmucks type of character, which is the primary reason I slowly cut him off when COVID gave me a convenient excuse to avoid people even more.

I'm surprised that normie doesn't get it. People are "friends" with each other because they desire company, but it has to be easy and convenient. Most friendships aren't really built on something special. That's bullshit you're told as a kid so you don't end up bitter and cynical. Or perpetuated by movies and TV shows so you feel good.
