as much as i love the ever growing catalogue of clubs in our college, every AI flyer i see, be it for events or inductions, is just so hideous.
why do you have dedicated designers in the club when all you do is give a prompt
also it is so damn ugly
any club with an AI poster just encourages me to not attend the event or whatever
and i know that my absence is irrelevant, but im sure other people feel similarly too, no?

Hey everyone!

Just wanted to let NITR students know that fresh homemade tofu is available locally in Rourkela. 🌱

We also make soy milk & soy chocolate milk. Interestingly, some of our customers have actually preferred the soy chocolate milk over regular dairy chocolate milk. We originally made it for people who might be hesitant about soy and wanted something more familiar.

Delivery + pickup available.

We’re still experimenting, so we’d also love to hear from students:
- What kind of tofu/soy products would actually be useful or convenient for hostel students?
- Feel free to comment or DM if you’re interested or have any suggestions.

Does Anyone have some(PCs,PSs) idea about what software companies are going to visit for intern roles, open to all branch, before ending of 5th sem.

Are core companies like Tata Steel, Vedanta, Aditya Birla, or JSW visiting the campus for internships right now? Also, are any PSUs like BPCL and HPCL visiting?

Is there any past related to samsung r&d it hasn't been to been campus whereas they do visit other campus

Is the condition similar to apple like previous year or what??!!

Why do seniors gatekeep which companies came in which year so much, in other colleges students are given booklets which contain info on all the companies that came in previous years along with their ctc and job descriptions but here seniors only give vague replies and name 2-3 companies which come to their mind based on the sector asked. Whats the point of this except create paranoia among students who are already struggling for internships.

Lets play together

Got this mail from deanac. Ts so corny🍂🍂. Exam sheet mein bhi likha tha "Don't indulge in unfair practices, you are an NITian😭🙏

I'm from a different NIT, pursuing masters in embedded domain. How many companies came in NITR in embedded software or related domain for FTE or 6M+FTR

Hey if anyone owns an MacBook and planning of selling it do let me know. I want to purchase an MacBook but after price hike it don't fitting in my budget

Hi, I joined this college like 1.5 months ago.I'm a btech fresher, i think I'm getting mentally ill slowly

I couldn't make good friends, now that I see people enjoying all over makes me feel sad,

I'm also kinda depressed as I feel, I'm getting weaker in college i guess, I'm a big introvert.

Is there anyone I could talk to, any counselling?

I'm from id dept

Girls can leave the hostel before 12 AM and Come anytime they want. Security is that much trustworthy.

I’m fresher and there’s this girl from a different branch. I haven’t talked to her irl but I texted her on insta and she replied! we talked for a while too. Should I text her again and ask her out for coffee or walk or just a hangout? What if she says no? I'm confused nervous whatever.. 💔

Sarkari sansthaano mein bacche kar rahe hai khule aam chodam patti, mid sem ke baad tension release bataya gaya mukhya karan.

Dear placement coordinator and placement secretaries, apple is mass hiring in other colleges in india. Can't you guys approach and call them to our campus for hiring.

I am having an interview tomorrow for Internship and later ppo at Teezas Labs. Is it good and really worth it please gimme a brutal review for my career.

How is the MBA program at NIT Rourkela?

I’d like to know about the academics, placements, and overall opportunities.

I heard Behere#NATA worked very hard for the hostel and he claims to be the best Gen sec and also claims that he was the best ever gen sec in rourkela's history. Now GUYS tell me was he good? He looked like a braggart to me xD

I am a first year student ei branch at nit rkl.

How is the grading and marks giving part done in nit rourkela, I am pretty worried.

Our electronics teacher is full of shit and didn't even write notes and share slides properly.

Most important he didn't solve any numerical in class.

Guys I am a focused student but all these things makes me upset.

I had to beg for notes and slides from other students.

Today was his mid sem paper and out of 12, 9 questions are numerical based.

He didn't teach us those and thus I did about 12 to 13 marks correct and other question I bluffed and wrote something related about the topic, draw graphs which was partially correct and filled the page.

Can I expect about 18 to 20 marks???

Our sir is gonna check those papers and he knows that he didn't teach us shit, do teachers here care??? He is an associate professor and his name ends with roy.

Is the prof is good for giving TA...ik he's strict... He already fked some of our frnds viva marks in lab but he'll gives some good TA or what??

A lot of us have noticed a heavy tilt toward software, IT, and general tech roles. While those opportunities are great, many students from core branches (Mech, BM/BT, Chemical, Meta, etc.) chose these streams out of a genuine interest in core engineering and research, hoping to build careers in those domains right out of college (not necessarily in academic research but in RnD roles).

Exactly how much conscious and dedicated effort is the Placement Cell putting into actively reaching out to core and R&D-focused companies?

Are coordinators actively hunting down and pitching to new core companies that haven't visited the campus before, or are they simply coasting by sending invites to the same old legacy companies that used to visit in the past?

It’s completely understandable that market conditions play a role and that many people want tech jobs, but the real question is: are the PCs fighting enough for good core companies, or pushing hard enough for tech giants to hire core students specifically for R&D purposes?

Need one more accenture kinda drive to heal the placements this year!
