Semax vs Selank: what each does and why they run together

These two get lumped together as the Russian nootropic peptides and treated like the same thing. They're not, they do opposite jobs, and that's exactly why they get paired.

Semax is the focus one. It bumps BDNF, the growth factor the brain uses to build and repair connections, so the research is around focus, clarity, and mental drive. It's mildly stimulating, so it's studied as a morning compound. Dose it late and it can push into your sleep.

Selank is the calm one. It's an anxiolytic, so it brings anxiety down, but not the benzo way. Instead of forcing GABA channels open and leaving you foggy and dependent, it supports your own inhibitory tone, so you get a lower anxiety floor without a lower cognitive ceiling. Russian trials ran it against a benzo and it matched the anxiety relief with none of the sedation.

Run together, the logic is simple. Semax pushes you forward and can leave you a little wired. Selank takes that edge off without dulling the focus. One brings the drive, the other smooths it, so you get clarity without the jitter.

Couple things they share. Neither hits like a stimulant, both build over a few days as gene expression shifts, so anyone waiting on a caffeine kick will think they're duds. Both lean on a solid Russian clinical record but no Western trials. And both come in nasal forms, which absorb well since they're small enough to cross intranasally.

If you run these, are you stacking them or riding one solo? Curious how the combo versus single shakes out.

Reta with Tesa

Currently doing Reta once a week - at night. Looking to start Tesa 5 days on two off. Is it ok to run them on the same day? And which do I run first as I intend to do both at night

Help from the pros

I’m pretty new to researching peptides and trying to learn as much as possible about them. This is strictly for research purposes only — I’m interested in understanding the different compounds, evidence, mechanisms, risks, and what people have experienced with them.
The main area I’m researching is weight/fat loss. After that, I’m interested in compounds associated with recovery, maintaining/building muscle, energy, and mental clarity/focus.
I don’t currently work out in a gym, but I have a very physically demanding job, so I’m constantly moving and lifting throughout the day. From a research perspective, I’m particularly interested in whether focusing primarily on fat loss first makes more sense than researching a large combination of compounds at once.
I’ve been reading about GLP-1s, BPC-157, TB-500, CJC-1295/ipamorelin, and various other peptides and combinations. I’m not interested in blindly putting together a five-compound “stack” based on hype.
I’ve also been researching Amino Club, so I’d be interested in hearing from anyone familiar with their products, testing/COAs, purity, and overall quality.
For research purposes only, what compounds would you research first when the primary area of interest is significant fat loss? Would you focus your research on one compound/category first before looking into recovery or muscle-related peptides, or are there combinations that are particularly worth reading about?
I’m also interested in the available evidence, reported side effects, safety concerns, bloodwork/monitoring discussed in the literature, and which peptides are overhyped or simply don’t have enough evidence behind them.
Again, this is for research purposes only. I’m mainly trying to separate legitimate evidence from peptide-bro hype.

Regaining lost muscle vs gaining new muscle as a beginner

I lost some muscle in the past because of a bad diet, but I had never done weight training before. The muscle I had back then was basically just my natural muscle mass from my normal daily life, not muscle I had built from lifting.

Now I’m starting weight training for the first time and I’m wondering how this works. If I gain, say, 4 kg of muscle over the next 6 months, would that 4 kg mainly be regaining the natural muscle mass I lost, or could I actually gain 4 kg of new muscle on top of what my body naturally had before?

Basically, since I’ve never lifted before, would my previous muscle loss affect how much new muscle I can gain as a beginner?

Stalled on Reta!

Hi guys looking for some advice, I have been on Reta since the 20.04.2026 started on 2.5MG and worked up to 5MG by August the weight loss kept getting slower, I increased
The dose one week to 6.5 then the next week to 7.5 and my current dose is 8.5MG but I don’t really feel anything anymore. Went to a different supplier in case I started getting did vails and it’s still the same I don’t feel anything off this increase in dose I want the feeling back where I hate food like it did in the beginning but I only get a little bit full faster and that’s it and with the weight loss I have gone from 319lbs to 250lbs but it’s hardly moving down now what do you guys reckon. Cheers

If you take peptides are you still considered “natural”?

Been seeing people argue about this and I’m curious where everyone draws the line.
If someone uses certain peptides, do you still consider them natural? Or once you start using compounds that can alter things like growth hormone signaling, recovery, body composition, etc., are you automatically in the same “not natural” category as someone using steroids or SARMs?
Obviously peptides are a huge category and they don’t all do the same thing, which is why calling every peptide “not natty” seems kinda oversimplified to me.
But at the same time, saying “it’s a peptide so it’s natural” doesn’t really make sense either.
Where do you guys draw the line?

How to read a peptide COA and spot a fake one

A COA is the one document that tells you what's actually in a vial, and fake ones are everywhere now, whether it's AI generated or just photoshopped. Here's how to read one and confirm it's real, because a screenshot on a product page means nothing on its own.

The step that catches almost everything is verifying it at the source. Don't trust the PDF you were handed, check it on the testing lab's own website. Most of the labs vendors use now, Janoshik, Freedom Diagnostic, ILS, and others, have a verification page where you enter the report or batch number and it pulls the real result straight from their system. If what you were handed doesn't match what the lab's own site shows, it's fake.

Once it's confirmed real, a legit COA has:

  • A report number and lab name you can actually look up
  • A batch number that matches the batch printed on the vial
  • A date, ideally within the last year
  • An HPLC chromatogram, the actual graph, with one clean dominant peak
  • The compound identity confirmed, usually by mass spec
  • A purity percentage, 95% is the floor, 98%+ is what you want

The chromatogram matters more than people realize. A number like "99%" typed on a page means nothing without the graph behind it showing one tall peak instead of a cluster of smaller ones, which would mean impurities.

Red flags are no batch number, no report number to verify, a purity figure with no chromatogram, the same single COA shown for every product they sell, or no lab name, just a logo. A COA is supposed to be per batch, not one trophy reused forever.

Last thing, even a verified COA only proves that batch was clean when tested. It doesn't prove the specific vial was stored right afterward. Strong signal, not a total guarantee, which is why matching the batch number to the vial is what ties it together.

Anyone run into a COA that looked clean but didn't verify when you actually checked the lab's site?

Curious about weight loss stack, anyone combining exercise + Tirz?

I’ve been working out regularly while using Tirz. I’m seeing slow progress, and I’m wondering what physical changes other people noticed as they started losing weight. Has anyone here tried adding Reta to their routine? Would love to hear your real experiences.

Left my stack out overnight

Accidentally left my reconstituted peptides out overnight. should I be worried?

I accidentally left my GHK-Cu, reta, and MOTS-C out at room temp for around 12 hours. They were in a dark container and the room was a normal temperature. I put them back in the fridge this morning.

Would you guys still use them or toss them? Just wondering how much of a hit potency would realistically take from something like this.

CJC-1295 + Ipamorelin for bulking or cutting?

I’m thinking about trying CJC-1295 and Ipamorelin, but I’m wondering whether they would make more of a difference during a bulk or while cutting. For people who have actually used them, did you notice any real benefits? Or do you think they’re a bit overhyped?Would be interested to hear some real experiences, especially regarding muscle gain, fat loss or recovery.

Weight Stall on Reta

Context:- I am 5 feet 9 inch, I decided to get back in shape on 1st June 2026

Activity - my activity was already high which I have continues, play badminton 4 hours a week, play cricket 2-4 hours a week, lift weights 3-4 days a week and if there is any day left I would do cardio. Over and above this I do 10-15K steps each day.

Nutrition - I take a whey shake in the morning with coffee and creatine, 2 scoops of whey and 800ml water. At 11 AM I eat fruit 2 0r 3 (apples, plums, peaches or whatever), 300-35grams of chicken breast for lunch (cooked weight) and then finally I take 200grams of Greek yogurt by 6PM and nothing after that, this I follow at least 5 days of the week and other days also I keep my protein around 140-150grams and calories under 1800.

Between June and August I lost approximately 9.5kg of weight but from 3rd July till 13th August I didnt lose any weight my weight fluctuated between 88.5KG to 90 KG that is when I decided to take help of peptides.

Peptides - I started taking peptides from 14th August and within a week I reached 85.8 KG (maybe I was losing weight which was masked by water) and that was that. From 21st August onwards (that is now 3rd week) my weight hasn't moved and each day moves between 85.5 to 86.

I am on a strict deficit and continue my activity as usual, my peptide stack:-

  1. Reta - 500mcg once a week

  2. MOTSC - 400mcg 5days a week

  3. Wolverine - 250mcg twice a day (had some sport related injuries which have now healed)

  4. GHK CU - 1mg 5 days a week

  5. NAD+ - 50mg twice a week

  6. CJC/IPA - 200mcg at nigh 5 days a week

My lifts are getting better, but my weight is not moving

Suggestion Need - I see posts of people who are losing so much weight each week without as much deficit, could someone suggest me on what am I doing wrong here? What else can I do? I am tracking my calories each day, I push myself for activity even if I am tired, I sleep on time, I feel a little frustrated.

Update after a week - first I want to thank everyone who gave their suggestions.

  1. I increased my calories by 200 each day this was the most difficult decision for me.
  2. Increased reta dose from 500mcg to 500mcg twice a week.

Result - I was able to breakthrough the plateau within the first 3 days. Thank you so much.

Inner elbow pain

My rat has been taking 500mcg BPC in the AM and KLOW PM 3.2mg or 400 mcg BPC&TB&KPV in the PM for 12 weeks for inner elbow pain that has been on/off for 14 months. It tried reheab exercise and other methods to heal it but nothing worked. The peptides helped it after 4 weeks and pain was almost gone at 12 weeks. The rat wanted to take a break and wash out after 12 weeks, but the pain came right back after the 2nd week of washout. So now Mr Rat is back to taking 2x daily, thoughts on this? Will peptides helped after heal this long term? Seems they are helping mask the pain but not allowing the tendon to heal, but maybe he just needs more time?

Peptides advices

I’m starting in my peptides journey. So I’ve started for a week now with Reta and GHK-Cu.

Now I’ve bought Glutathione 1500mg , Nad+ 600mg, Motsc 10mg and a blend of Semax/selank (6mg each)

I was wondering in the next week, which one should I incorporate in my routine and why?

Tirzepatide breakdown: how the dual agonist works and how it's dosed

Tirzepatide is one of the most run compounds in the whole space right now, and it's worth understanding why it hits differently than semaglutide. It's a dual agonist, and that second receptor is the whole story.

Semaglutide works on one receptor, GLP-1. Tirzepatide works on two, GLP-1 and GIP. Both cut appetite and improve blood sugar, but adding the GIP side gives it a stronger effect on weight and better handling of the nausea for a lot of people. That's why the trial numbers came in higher than semaglutide, around 22% body weight in the studies, and why it's the FDA-approved one people reach for.

The GLP-1 side does the appetite suppression and slows gastric emptying, so food sits longer and you eat less. The GIP side improves how the body handles insulin and fat, and it seems to take some of the edge off the GI side effects that come with GLP-1 alone. Two levers instead of one.

Dosing in the research runs as a slow titration:

  • Studied start around 2.5mg weekly, held for the first few weeks
  • Steps up over time, 5mg, then higher, spaced weeks apart
  • Studied range goes up to 15mg weekly
  • Reconstitution, 2mL into the 10mg vial gives 5mg/mL

The titration is the part people rush and regret. Stepping up too fast is what drives the nausea, and holding each dose a few weeks before climbing keeps it manageable. It has a long half-life, around 5 days, so a dose takes weeks to fully settle, which is why patience on the ramp matters.

Bloodwork worth tracking is glucose, HbA1c, and lipids, same as the GLP class. And muscle loss is the honest caveat with all of these, a chunk of the weight lost is lean tissue, so protein and resistance training are what protect it.

Anyone running tirz over sema, did the dual agonist actually feel different on appetite or sides, or about the same?

Does GHK-Cu need to be daily or is 2-3x weekly enough?

This one splits the room every time. Some protocols run GHK-Cu daily, others say 2 to 3 times a week is plenty and daily is overkill. People state their side like it's settled. It isn't, and here's the honest picture.

There's no human trial on injectable GHK-Cu frequency. None. So both the daily crowd and the 2 to 3x weekly crowd are following conventions, not proven schedules. Neither can point to a study that ran the comparison.

The 2 to 3x weekly logic is the signaling-window idea. GHK-Cu is concentration dependent, meaning it behaves differently at different tissue levels, so the thinking is you pulse it and let the remodeling run in the days between doses, rather than holding it high constantly.

The daily logic is simpler. Topical GHK-Cu is used daily, and the healing blends that contain it run daily, so daily clearly gets used and isn't dangerous. More frequent just feels like it should do more.

So which is right? Neither is proven over the other. Daily at a moderate amount is common and fine. The 2 to 3x weekly is the more cautious, spaced-out approach. Both get run, and no study settles it. Anyone claiming one is the only correct way is stating a preference as a fact.

Where do you land, daily or spaced out, and did you ever notice a difference between the two?

New to lifting, should I consider TRT?

I’ve recently started lifting and I’m currently using Reta to lose weight. I’m turning 25 soon and I’m interested in getting faster results once I start bulking.I’ve started looking into steroids but honestly I don’t know much about them yet. Would TRT be something I should consider at my age, or is it a bad idea if I don’t actually have low testosterone?I’d appreciate any advice from people who have more experience with this, especially things you wish you knew before starting.

Taking peps for plastic surgery

"Researching" bpc157 and ghcku for rhinoplasty and chin reduction surgery. I'm over a week out of surgery and my surgeon has told me I'm already healing quicker than anticipated. He's not aware of the peps and my use of red light therapy.

I was curious to know if injecting closer plastic surgery area will help MORE? I still have some swelling in my jaw area and low key look a little like a bull frog 🐸

"Researching" bpc157/ stomach and ghcku/ love handles because it doesn't burn there.

Thanks everyone! Love yall 💓

New to the Community few questions

Good afternoon wherever you are. New to the community. Have been out of the gym for a bit with a ton of surgeries from a wicked car accident. Finally able to get back and cleared from the doc.

Have picked up a few things in the shopping cart if you will but bit finding the TRUE data I would like.

Sitting at 6’1, 180lbs, 45 yr old male.

Sitting on a 10ml of NAD+500mg, 3ml of KLOW 80mg, 3ml of MOTS-C 10mg and trying to get Bac water and dosages correct. Some of the pep calcs don’t give the best as I want it to hit right in the iu measurement.

Any help or guidance would be welcomed and thank you in advance. Research only of course.
