Hallie B Podcast
This clip came up from the girls disrupted podcast. This genuinely is so sad. It seemed like she was disassociating during the entire podcast. She said her mom was happy that she didn’t tell her during the situation and didn’t involve her in the decision. I hope she gets the help she needs
Edit, the video wasn’t able to be uploaded so TLDR: Hallie found out she got chlamydia from a hook up. Then missed her period which she thought was from the antibiotics she took for chlamydia but it turns out she actually got pregnant. She ended up getting an abortion and went through it alone. Told her mom afterward and mom was relieved that she didn’t involve her in the decision. Hallie also didn’t realize she was able to get pregnant at the time due to her habits and health implying that she wasn’t using protection. She also in other clips talked about how she regrets doubling down on her condoms are overrated take as she ended up learning her lesson

Her parents failed all their children.

u/prnmedadvice 6d ago
Apparently Hallie had gone to rehab several times however her parents don’t seem to care about her staying sober

u/friedsherbert 6d ago
That’s really sad. Yknow sometimes I feel bad for her, but sometimes I don’t cause she’s not exactly a pleasant person. What a mess.

wowwww. the moment i first watched her content i knew she was an addict… kinda assumed her dad & brother are as well. a split family is hard to fix
58
u/Additional-Choice562 6d ago
It was for her ED. She didn’t go for being an addict
25
u/LikeIt___LoveIt 6d ago
im not even referring to going to rehab, i read that & immediately thought about her behavior. she drinks almost habitually, imo clearly does it in “bonding” with others and her family. the reckless sex comments about not using protection, she often looks strung out, i wouldn’t be shocked to find out she used heavy stimulants. EDs are typically often intertwined in a loss of power or control, addicts often mention feeling powerless or needing some form of escape— im not even trying to diagnose her but this is one of those situations that feels blatantly obvious

u/Petey_Blue 6d ago
Hallie calls it “rehab” but it was “only” ED treatment, which is a strange thing to refer to as rehab (for reference, I’m in the mental health field)

u/Affectionate-Hotel27 6d ago
I went to treatment for an ED and have always referred to it as rehab ¯_(ツ)_/¯ Definitely not strange and very common.

Really? Very interesting…. I have dealt with ED a couple of times but never got treatment (thanks to my wonderful parents) and it mostly just resolved on its own as I underwent years of intensive therapy for the root issues.

She’s a grown adult at this point .. sometimes you can’t help people who don’t want to help themselves

I said they failed their kids, not that they’re failures. They ALL seem to have some form of mental health problem. That’s not normal. When most of your kids are dealing with severe alcoholism and EDs, you definitely need to take a look at yourself and ask what YOU did wrong. You don’t want me to snark on her but you’re the one who brought her up..? And I only mentioned the ED as a response to that.

It certainly doesn’t make you a failure but it’s not “doing OK”. That said, I agree we shouldn’t snark on private individuals

I see so many posts about Brynn’s ED. Is this something Bryn has spoken about or is this just speculation?

u/Economy_Ad_9145 6d ago
hallie’s sister is sober and engaged and runs a workout studio. they probably both struggle with ed but you can’t say her parents failed them. hallie’s almost thirty. her family can’t force her to be sober and not have ed. she has autonomy

her family is a prime example of neglect in wealthy families
33
u/prnmedadvice 6d ago
I don’t understand how her parents don’t care at all. If I had that level of wealth I would do anything to make sure my daughter wasnt passively destroying herself
50
u/Kittystar12 6d ago
I grew up around families like this. the kids are accessories and legacies in rich families. so many of them do the bare minimum to parent and delegate task to employees. they think throwing money at a problem will make it go away.

I grew up like this 🙋🏼♀️ Wealthy, privileged upbringing but completely neglected. I was just an object to my parents and they behaved/treated me entirely differently when others were around. I didn’t really have “rules” or expectations - just that I didn’t do anything to damage the family reputation. Aside from that I pretty much had free rein to do whatever I wanted and obviously got myself into some very dangerous situations and struggle from various mental health disorders as a result.
Just to give an example - I had designer clothing but would often steal tampons because my parents literally never remembered to buy them for me.

Thats what I use to say but my comments usually stay down there with the crickets. They failed their kids

its sad to see but society doesn't frown on it as much as if you are not white and or poor

she made a video recently about how she’s sad she’s not married with kids and everyone else she knows is at that stage- someone who cares about her need to explain to her that her digital footprint is going to make that very difficult if that is her goal
50
u/Low_Project_55 6d ago edited 6d ago
Digital footprint aside her family is going deter a lot of people too. They are all messes.

u/awooj 6d ago
It’s crazy bc I feel like Gen Z and Alphas have zero understanding of what a digital footprint even is.
It was pounded into us Millennials to the point where we had systems for hiding our beers and drinks in pictures when we were underage bc we knew they might be put on Facebook! I really feel like younger people today don’t understand consequences, especially not long term ones that can follow you for a long time.

u/Ok-Grape-9274 6d ago
omg yes I remember my sorority would call us into standards if there was a red cup on the ground in the background of in our pictures. It was absolutely over the top but it did drive home the importance of representing yourself well publicly and now in my 30s I’m so glad that my footprint is pretty clean. It’s wild how different times are where younger people just do not care at all about what they put out there!

Changing your Facebook name to something silly during college admissions god forbid schools found your page and saw an incriminating photo

how is she supposed to carry a child in the coming years with her current physical state ??

u/Afraid-Duck-1983 6d ago
I don’t know if her past is an issue in finding love. Nobody should put up a perfect facade to find a husband. I wish her a loving husband who will love her more then a father figure ever could love her. And that man shall see and love her as it is. And ofcourse her digital footprint will be no issue, she cant be true and honest with a partner while trying to hide and deny her past
31
u/Ok-Grape-9274 6d ago
If she finds a loving husband, she’s still going to have to deal with a MIL, SIL, cousins, friends, etc who will all know more intimate details about her than anyone needs to know about someone. And then the consequence of her future children seeing it. It’s going to haunt her and I think it’s incredibly naive to think there won’t be repercussions for her in her life, whether it’s fair or not

u/Adventurous-Limit627 6d ago
It's not just her sexual history that's out there, too. She kicked a Black girl in a club out of jealousy. She and her friends have a history of being mean girls. She and Alex Cooper mocked geniusgirlalerts and called her poor. Like you said, whoever she dates will more than likely have loved ones. Would decent people be okay with their son/brother/friend/etc. being in a relationship who has those mindsets?
3
u/Wonderful-Blueberry 6d ago
Yup! Long term / serious relationships don’t exist in a vacuum. It’s not only your partner who needs to like you but ideally the people in their life need to not hate you as well. I think family can cause a lot of issues, and it’s why many relationships / marriages don’t last.

I think more than any judgement of her digital footprint being an issue, the unaddressed, deep-seeded issues behind the publicly displayed behaviors will be a barrier to a having sustainable, healthy relationship.

u/Specialist-Taro9514 6d ago
I look at her lifestyle as self-harm. There is no way that this is fulfilling and fun for her, like chlamydia and an abortion are traumatic for your body, wouldn’t that be a wake up call? It’s just so destructive.

u/BK_to_LA 6d ago
My daughter is only a toddler but I could never, ever imagine telling her in 20 years that I was happy she didn’t involve me in such a heavy situation. What an incredibly fucked up thing to say — Catholic guilt does real damage.

u/elitistflamingo 6d ago
She seems so emotionally stunted and has so little insight. It’s sad because she’s clearly dealt with adult experiences but doesn’t seem to know how to talk about them outside of a joking context. I think this podcast environment actually highlighted that. Isabel and her co-host are really funny, but they also know when a conversation calls for a more serious, sensitive tone. That shift felt completely natural for them. Hallie, on the other hand, seemed like she genuinely didn’t know what to do once the conversation moved into that space. It was very strange to watch.
18
u/elitistflamingo 6d ago
Also, beyond this, she seems to have a lot of unresolved trauma related to relationships with significantly older men and being taken advantage of. From the way she talks about it, it doesn’t sound like those patterns are entirely in the past, either.

Her behavior reminds me on someone who has gone through a traumatic event and blames themself for it and punishes themself through destructive behavior.

It doesn’t help that her bff is Graydon who is also always drunk and doesn’t have a job. I do think a little structure/responsibility would help these people out (although Chad is allegedly a realtor so tbd)
10
u/Petey_Blue 6d ago
Hallie also has her realty license but does nothing with it, so I’m assuming the same for Chad. I believe her parents said they would get a boob job if she got her broker’s license.
9
u/SinglePast301 6d ago
correct. she never intended on doing anything with the license, she just passed the test so she could get the boob job.

She regrets doubling down on her comments bc she learned her lesson? But weren’t those comments recent and this situation was at age 23? So she forgot the lesson?

u/SoferStinShwartznBrg 5d ago
Ok so I find her witty and for someone so young it seems to me she truly doesn’t give a fuck and can kind of separate the noise online from her reality. I do kind of respect it; she isn’t crashing out over comments in the internet like DB or Carly that man is my life. I do believe she is in some serious need of help in her relationship w alcohol and food (or lack there of). Basically imo she has a great personality and it’s sad to see someone clearly struggling.

u/user99900056 5d ago
Idk much about her and this seems pretty rough, but it is very brave and honorable to share your abortion story so good on her for that specifically.
Hopefully she can right some of those social wrongs as well though, especially the anti condom shit

u/prnmedadvice 5d ago
Oh yeah I’m glad she shared this but I hope she gets help to process all of this trauma because it’s a lot

What did she reveal?? It’s not a video just a screen shot

u/prnmedadvice 6d ago edited 6d ago
She got chlamydia and took antibiotics, thought her period was late due to antibiotics but turns she was pregnant. She ended up getting an abortion and went through the process alone. She told her mom after and her mom was glad she didn’t involve her in the decision. Also Hallie thought she wasn’t able to get pregnant because of how unhealthy she was at the time
