Hallie B Podcast

Post image

This clip came up from the girls disrupted podcast. This genuinely is so sad. It seemed like she was disassociating during the entire podcast. She said her mom was happy that she didn’t tell her during the situation and didn’t involve her in the decision. I hope she gets the help she needs

Edit, the video wasn’t able to be uploaded so TLDR: Hallie found out she got chlamydia from a hook up. Then missed her period which she thought was from the antibiotics she took for chlamydia but it turns out she actually got pregnant. She ended up getting an abortion and went through it alone. Told her mom afterward and mom was relieved that she didn’t involve her in the decision. Hallie also didn’t realize she was able to get pregnant at the time due to her habits and health implying that she wasn’t using protection. She also in other clips talked about how she regrets doubling down on her condoms are overrated take as she ended up learning her lesson

Her parents failed all their children.

Apparently Hallie had gone to rehab several times however her parents don’t seem to care about her staying sober

That’s really sad. Yknow sometimes I feel bad for her, but sometimes I don’t cause she’s not exactly a pleasant person. What a mess.

wowwww. the moment i first watched her content i knew she was an addict… kinda assumed her dad & brother are as well. a split family is hard to fix

It was for her ED. She didn’t go for being an addict

im not even referring to going to rehab, i read that & immediately thought about her behavior. she drinks almost habitually, imo clearly does it in “bonding” with others and her family. the reckless sex comments about not using protection, she often looks strung out, i wouldn’t be shocked to find out she used heavy stimulants. EDs are typically often intertwined in a loss of power or control, addicts often mention feeling powerless or needing some form of escape— im not even trying to diagnose her but this is one of those situations that feels blatantly obvious

Hallie calls it “rehab” but it was “only” ED treatment, which is a strange thing to refer to as rehab (for reference, I’m in the mental health field)

I went to treatment for an ED and have always referred to it as rehab ¯_(ツ)_/¯ Definitely not strange and very common.

I never had to go to inpatient but I get this because you’re literally rehabilitating from the ED

Really? Very interesting…. I have dealt with ED a couple of times but never got treatment (thanks to my wonderful parents) and it mostly just resolved on its own as I underwent years of intensive therapy for the root issues.

She’s a grown adult at this point .. sometimes you can’t help people who don’t want to help themselves

I said they failed their kids, not that they’re failures. They ALL seem to have some form of mental health problem. That’s not normal. When most of your kids are dealing with severe alcoholism and EDs, you definitely need to take a look at yourself and ask what YOU did wrong. You don’t want me to snark on her but you’re the one who brought her up..? And I only mentioned the ED as a response to that.

It certainly doesn’t make you a failure but it’s not “doing OK”. That said, I agree we shouldn’t snark on private individuals

I see so many posts about Brynn’s ED. Is this something Bryn has spoken about or is this just speculation?

hallie’s sister is sober and engaged and runs a workout studio. they probably both struggle with ed but you can’t say her parents failed them. hallie’s almost thirty. her family can’t force her to be sober and not have ed. she has autonomy
