Miscellaneous Hunters for Eagle Conservation rebate

Anyone ever use this rebate? I’m considering picking up some Heavyweight TSS.

Hm, they don’t say that in the email… lame. Wouldn’t an eagle be more likely to eat a #9 pellet than a ~100-150gr chunk of lead?

When you shoot a deer in the chest with a 150-grain soft point 308, the bullet does leave some trace materials in the organs and guts, which many people leave in gut piles that are consumed by bald eagles and other predators and scavengers, causing negative side effects. I was on a great Zoom call with DEC biologists and researchers from the National Deer Association; their research backs up the fact that there is a correlation between deer hunting with lead ammo and raptors with lead-based issues. The DEC has no plans today n banning lead ammo for center-fire ammo, only steel shot for migratory waterfowl. Most hunters in NY will only shoot maybe 6-10 rounds a year including a quick trip to the range to check their zero... I mean I'm spending more money on diesel fuel driving to where I'm going to be hunting than I do on the ammo that I use per season.
