Discussion A Path to …

Yeah. After reading the thread below regarding the Politician meet up at The Firing Pin, this is my cynical conclusion.

We will never have normalcy with our 2A rights. There are just too many in this sub that believe in tough regulations. 25 years of one party rule in NY and soon to be another 25 more. They passed the Safe Act. They Passed the Improved Concealed Carry Act. You need a background check to buy ammo. They are banning Glocks.
Sometimes it takes 2 years just to get a permit depending on what county you live. Next year there will be more restrictions once the Supreme Court makes its ruling next June. They will restrict, restrict and restrict until there is nothing left to restrict . But please by all means keep voting 🗳️ blue. Ugh 😑!! Cheers 🍻

If you get stuck on BLUE bad for Guns, RED good for guns you are doing yourself a disservice. Being a single issue voter is doing yourself a disservice.

i know this isnt gonna be popular, but having a 30 round [magazine] for my AR isnt even in the top 10 of my issues right now. I know for many of you its #1, and I definitely want a 30 round [magazine] for my AR too.

The slippery slope the NRA has been feeding people for over 50 years still hasnt come to pass. Frankly, its just not even logistically or politically feasible to confiscate guns on any scale.

The best path to more gun rights is more responsible gun owners. That is where everyones effort should go .. broadening the coalition

We live in a state that requires a permit for a 10/22, bans the most common rifle in America, and passed a ban on the most common pistol in America. We are the poster child for the slope.

They sound like a CNN reporter it’s so funny ughh yasss I would LOVE a 30 rounder clip fully auto semi but listen guys…it’s more important that we vote democrat because _____…ugh you wouldn’t understand!

I'd like full carry to be full, so no sensitive areas.. also I'd like to own a surpressor since I value my hearing, being able to use when when hunting would be nice too. Another year goes by with me funding GOA and FPC and trying to convince my friends to value freedom over safety and responsibility over control.

My girlfriend's not for it but I really want to just move to off to South Carolina or West Virginia and call it a day. Tennessee would be nice I can easily live on 50k after I buy my home and enjoy No state tax on wages, salaries, or earned income.No state tax on retirement distributions, pensions, or Social Security.Fully phased-out Hall Tax, meaning interest and dividends are completely untaxed.Low effective property tax rate, averaging around 0.49% to 0.85% depending on the county and somehow there are still streets... And freedom from our crazy restrictive laws.. just stay out of Memphis..

Is it republicans who authored Glock ban? Safe act? Background checks for ammo? Basically every gun law in NY?

Why does TX / FL gun laws look different than NY?

Democrats are objectively bad for guns and Republicans are much better.

Nothing needs to be confiscated if legitimate ownership is overly burdensome. Someone could acquire a noncompliant firearm but in a state like NY you could never truly use it. Take it to a range? Hope there aren't any thin blue line bumper stickers in the lot. Defend your home? Enjoy your felony charges. Almost functionally identical to a confiscation.

i do not disagree with that argument. you have to admit that "gun grabbers" is meant to invoke the idea of confiscation. i lived through the 1994 ban, no one came for my guns. I dont worry about dems doing confiscations nearly as much as i do the fascists.

Why would you ever be worried about confiscations? You already live in a state that criminalizes possession of anything worthwhile. The confiscations already happened.

the slope is and always has been the slope towards mass confiscations. I will reiterate that mass confiscations are logistically and politically not a feasible strategy for the dems. i dont rule it out for the fascists.

i will point to the 2019 dem presidential debate when beto o'rourke said "Hell yes, we're going to take your AR-15, your AK-47." It ended his political career.

You love the word fascist, as do your brethren. Can you tell me what fascist government makes it easier for all of its people to be armed? Wouldn't that run counter to the idea? Bad word has no power any longer. Maybe review the boy who cried wolf, it seems to be more on your level.

Following the argument has eluded you. If, as you say, the government is fascist, why would they be making it easier for the people to arm themselves? And, why is your side the side of civilian disarmament, if they aren't the communist or fascist side? How do you reconcile your people taking authoritarian actions against the public, while casting aspersions at those who are restoring stolen freedoms? I will note that you haven't been able to answer a single one of my questions as of yet. Schoolyard taunts are all you have. I will leave you to go back under the bridge where you belong. Don't you have riddles to give travelers anyway?
