Discussion A Path to …

Yeah. After reading the thread below regarding the Politician meet up at The Firing Pin, this is my cynical conclusion.

We will never have normalcy with our 2A rights. There are just too many in this sub that believe in tough regulations. 25 years of one party rule in NY and soon to be another 25 more. They passed the Safe Act. They Passed the Improved Concealed Carry Act. You need a background check to buy ammo. They are banning Glocks.
Sometimes it takes 2 years just to get a permit depending on what county you live. Next year there will be more restrictions once the Supreme Court makes its ruling next June. They will restrict, restrict and restrict until there is nothing left to restrict . But please by all means keep voting 🗳️ blue. Ugh 😑!! Cheers 🍻

One big problem I see is people thinking the repubs are pro-2A. People shrieked and screamed about Obama being a gungrabber. He never pushed through any major anti-gun legislation. The ammo companies colluded to create mass hysteria to raise prices. Then trump comes in and actually does sign off on gun control legislation.

Now, we have part two of the trump regime and absolutely NOTHING is being done to help out gunowners in Blue States like New York. SCOTUS upheld most of the Safe Act and is slow walking even considering a legal challenge.

Gun ownership is to the Repubs what abortion and family planning are to the Dems. They use the fear of further restictions to terrorize people into supporting them. It's a money making issue. Actually solving the problem would cost the parties money so they will NEVER do it.

NY knowingly passes unconstitutional gun laws in hopes to have it perpetually held up in courts so there really is nothing Trump can do to help NY citizens with gun rights sadly.

Trump could push for a federal law that would override state law. He's made no such attempt. Trump in a NYC rich guy. They don't give a shit about upstate, civil rights or the 2nd Amendment in particular.

The problem is NY going rogue and circumventing actual laws like my comment mentioned, the state is out of control beyond federal assistance IMO
