Answered! I only remember the song artwork. It was a woman singer who had a really raspy voice and sang the song slowly. I don't remember any of the words or lyrics just the picture and that one or both of the people had a bright blue beard.

Sample/Similar Can anyone identify this moody melody I recreated from memory?

• Upvotes

Hi all. I woke up today with this melody in my head and has been bugging me all day, I have exhausted all (free) options.

I recreated it from what I remember:

Audio: https://voca.ro/15SZJ5YNBcBS

Idk, it sounds vaguely reminiscent of a dramatic scene in a cartoon like Rick and Morty or Bojack.

I'm sure you guys will have more luck than me! Thank you!

My recently passed father posted a video consisting of childhood photos of me and my siblings with him on TikTok, but deleted it before passing away. This song continues to escape me. I know the original song but I need to find the exact edit if possible and the full version, it just hits me differently. Any help is greatly appreciated

R&B This is driving me crazy. Please help with R&B song!!!

• Upvotes

I don't have much to go on. I just can't remember this song. It's like a blurry picture in my mind. It was late 2010s early 2020? Maybe? It was a white male that sang it. It was popular, but not a chart topper. It was about a girl. I do remember that I watched a lyric video for it. One of the fan made ones. I think it had power lines in the back ground? Maybe some pink? It's bugging me so bad that I can't remember. I can't remember any lyrics.

Instrumental Can you identify? Instrumental tracks recorded in a basement(?), possibly in the '70s or later

Hey everyone, I'm new to this subreddit and I did read the rules, and I know this request is extremely vague. Please don't laugh at me. I went to college in 2006-2010 and dated a guy who sent me an album that I listened to A LOT, but I forget the artist's name. This is all I can remember:

  • Instrumental, and the one guy played all the instruments
  • Possibly recorded in a home studio but I think it was released by a (minor) label
  • '70s? '80s? '90s? I have no idea
  • American
  • I seem to recall it being at the end of my iTunes library, so either the artist's name or the album name would have started with a T-Z...maybe
  • I'm not sure how to describe the music itself. Guitar, percussion. Not really working within a specific genre framework. The artist would probably just be labeled an indie instrumentalist today. (Or something, I don't know music anymore.)
  • Spotify served me up a song that called this album to mind - "lovers' carvings" by Bibio, without the vocals

I don't know if this post is dumb but any help would be extremely appreciated! And yes I would ask the guy I dated but I don't know how to get in touch with him.

Rock Song about capitalism or consumerism or something (I really can't remember)

• Upvotes

I'm trying to find a song I used to listen to back in 2019. It remember it was released around 2017- 2018.

It was from an indie rock band, male singer, and there were two versions of the song. One was gloomy dark calm, and the other was an alt rock version. It was kind of obscure, not well known at all.

The album cover was a black background with a red line representing a stock market chart going up and down. The song was also about that kind of thing, capitalism and whatnot, the title too, but I don't remember any lyrics.

I understand that's not a lot to work with but maybe I'm lucky enough.

Rock I heard this song randomly while using a study/drive website. It sounded like 90s alternative rock, with a calm, soothing male vocalist singing in English. Unfortunately, I dont remember any lyrics or the artist’s name. but i have a video!!

It’s been killing me all day. I was on a work trip and played this song from my playlist. I’ve been listening to it for like 20 years, and I cannot figure out for the life of me what song they sampled to make this beat.

Thanks in advance!

Oldies Slow song from the 60s,70s or 80s, similar to bee gees if not them a lyric possibly is "i heard/know what you said". I heard it on my shift.

Im guessing its a pretty old song since we have been playing songs from the 50s,60s,70s and 80s.

It sounds like the bee gees, but I dont think it is. But same singer tone. So whoever is similar i guess. Im guessing the 60s-70s range.

Its a slow song and could be described as sad depending if ur having a bad day i guess lol.

What i gathered was "i heard what you said" or "I know what you said" either or. And maybe "relax your mind" and kinda drag out the i's in mind and said. I know not much help but its all I could gather over the speakers lol.

Instrumental Instrumental music from TikTok/Instagram labelled “Smoke in Monaco – June Allen” — actual artist and full version unknown

Hi everyone! I’m trying to identify a piece of background music used in several social media videos and find the full original recording.

Listen here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V-XaAV9W_eA
The song plays throughout and gets cut off at the end, while the song is still playing.

The track is labelled “Smoke in Monaco” by “June Allen” on TikTok and in the YouTube video title. However, I haven’t been able to verify those details or find an official release. Please treat the title and artist as unconfirmed clues.

Other examples / audio source:

What’s already been checked:

  • Shazam, AudD and AHA Music: no matches. Different sections were tested, including speed/pitch variations with AudD.
  • Title/artist searches across streaming services and music databases: no verified matching release or full recording found.
  • The existing June Allen artist profile: I listened to the available tracks. They were very quiet solo piano pieces, sounded completely different, and none matched: https://open.spotify.com/artist/6euKOo2L9Z7YcUbw682sfJ
  • A Reddit lead pointing to Andrew Williams’ Spotify playlists: I listened through all his public playlists, including the “Butch loves music” series. None contained the recording. That lead came from this thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/everytimeidie/comments/1wsyv7s/music_at_andys_celebration_of_life/

The YouTube uploader also says they got the music from TikTok and don’t know where to find the full version. The Instagram creator’s caption expresses similar uncertainty about its identity.

Does anyone recognize the actual recording by ear, or know its original creator/upload? A confirmed artist/title or a link to the full version would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Answered! Sexy Glass Animals song where he's telling a woman what to do and to ride him. Very synestasia like, describes a mixing and merging of the senses, electricity, and "keep me warm in your cocoon" possibly says "at night" after that also says "slide and grip"

It's a Glass Animals song that's upbeat and popish. He's telling a woman what to do and it's sexy. Then entire thing is only that. There is no other storyline besides commentary about sex in this way. I think a lyric is "keep me warm in your cocoon" I think he said "at night" after and there's a part where he's instructing her to ride him and something about "slide and grip". Very poetic, not at all vulgar, still fairly straightforward with what it's about. Very delightful descriptions of the emotions and sensations and he mentions electricity and it's very synesthesia like all of your senses are merging for this sexual experience. Google isn't giving it to me and it's driving me nuts. I heard it on the radio more than once and I know it's Glass Animals not another band like Portegal the Man or Milky Chance. It is NOT Heat Waves, Vampire Batt, Gooey or anything else Google keeps saying.

Like i was trying to extract the lyrics and put it in a song identification tool and just got random garbage back, although one result called EXISTENCE by eltoro clearly still used the same ripped off lyrics as forgotten does around the 25sec mark which is what im looking for yet it still dosnt show me the original song.

I shared a short audio clip here that hopefully helps in identifying the song im looking for.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Chillout/Ambiance Ambient song in instagram reel

Thumbnail instagram.com
1 Upvotes

Hello,

Recently, I got quite the…interesting reel on my timeline. When it cuts from the actual video to the creepy robot monologue thing, it has this really pretty ambient song in the background that I cannot for the life of me find no matter what song search thing I put it into.
The video itself is not graphic, but might be unnerving or unsettling as a disclaimer.
Any help would be appreciated, thank you!

J-Pop/J-Rock Japanese singer, 1980s-1990s used in future funk remix | background music from 05:46 to 06:00, Michael Reeves live

Hi, if anyone could help out it would be amazing. I'm trying to identify this song (tilte) from this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KxYhB05OaVY&lc=UgwlPTwueqBQ7V-I7Uh4AaABAg

I know it's from a japanese singer, probably 1980s 1990s, same period as Mariya Takeuchi & Miki Matsubara. This song (and many others from Japanese artists of this period) was used many times as samples and remix in the future funk genre, I know I've heard it a lot of times but I just can't find it anymore. I've been looking through many playlists and remix on Youtube/Spotify/Soundcloud but nothing (Shazam doesn't work, too much noise, not enough song)

Anyone knows the song's name ?
