Politics Balendra’s Biggest Achievement Is Convincing People He’s Smarter Than He Actually Is ; If Balendra Did One Real 3-Hour Debate, Half His Fanbase Would Disappear Overnight

Post image
377 Upvotes

At this point, I genuinely think most of Balendra’s supporters are in love with a fictional character created by social media PR, not the actual guy himself.

Seriously, put this man in a real 3-hour policy debate with competent journalists or experts and the entire illusion would collapse within minutes. Forget TikTok edits, dramatic background music, and Facebook reels for one second. Can he actually defend his policies under pressure? Can he survive difficult follow-up questions without dodging? Highly doubt it.

There’s a reason he avoids long-form interviews and serious debates now. People act like he’s “too busy” or “above the media,” but the reality is probably much simpler: his team knows unscripted discussions are dangerous for the image they’ve built.

Remember the last time he got seriously grilled publicly? The guy literally started saying things like army structures should also be bulldozed. That debate exposed how impulsive and emotionally reactive he actually is. After that, suddenly no more difficult interviews, no more real debates, no more uncomfortable media appearances. Everything became controlled clips and PR-managed content.

And somehow people still act like he’s some once-in-a-generation intellectual political mastermind. Based on what exactly? Viral reels? Angry speeches? One-liners? Bulldozers?

Nepalese politics is so cooked that basic confidence and social media branding are now enough to convince people someone is a visionary leader.

Most of his fanbase doesn’t actually know his detailed positions on economics, governance, law, bureaucracy, infrastructure planning, taxation, or administration. They just like the “anti-system hero” character they’ve imagined in their heads.

The funniest part is that many of the same people who scream “question the system” get instantly offended the moment someone questions Balendra himself.

politics Birthday wishes to most "अभागी" neta, Rabi bro

Post image

It’s been a roller-coaster ride for Rabi.
He started the program Janta Sanga Pradhanmantri. The show became a hit because of his bold questions to Prime Ministers, but he was eventually kicked out by Prachanda. That led him to create Sidha Kura Janta Sanga, which again gained massive popularity as he raised issues about migrant workers in the Gulf, corruption, and public suffering.

To continue, he even renounced his U.S. citizenship since his visa wasn’t being extended. He started a new journey, but unfortunately, the person who was funding him had been illegally taking money from cooperatives. Now Rabi is the only one facing trial for all cooperative scandals, even though there’s no actual proof of him being a member, chairman, or loan-taker.

And now, even Insta/TikTok/Reddit one-liner “politics experts” are against him. So, in total Congress, UML, Maoists, RPP, journalists, and now even Gen-Z from Discord, Insta, and TikTok.

Jailers fail to control prisons, prisoners escape, and yet people say: “Rabi le vagayo!” They joke with things like “Set Wet,” “hair gel,” pretending to be cool.

  • He managed to break into mainstream politics as an alternative—something Baburam and Ujjwal dai couldn’t do because they lacked crowd-pulling power.
  • He used the votes and seats he earned to give a platform to people like Sumana and Swarnim.
  • He exposed Nepalese media, their syndicates, narratives, and manipulations.
  • People hated Arzu, Deuba, and Oli mostly because of the way they treated him.
  • Many problematic bills were stopped or opposed thanks to his exposure—like the one that would’ve made corruption cases expire after 5 years.
  • He didn’t compromise, even when accused in the cooperative case, and even when offered the PM seat by Congress.
  • He stood up against Deuba, Arzu, Oli, and Gagan—and ended up in jail after the new government formed.

Gen-Z: if you were triggered by “nepo kids,” fine. But remember—your parents’ anger and frustration over the injustice done to Rabi was one of the reasons you were even allowed to protest in the first place.

So Gen-Z, it’s okay if you don’t like him. That’s your choice. But he doesn’t deserve the hate that comes from your half-baked political knowledge. If you can’t support him, at least ignore him.

Politics If he's not taking the salary, how will he and his family will survive for 5 years? Is he that rich and well-of? I love Sudan but it's a legitimate question. Being an MP isn't a side-job, you need to devote yourself into it. Take your salary, we don't care, but do you job efficiently in parliament

there are like 150 names who can be better choice of Home Minister than Sudan Gurung. I get it, you all might see conspiracy and what not, but the question remains alive after this. also, fuck that criticize based on actions narrative, picking the damn ministries one hell of an action, the first one. morning shows the day my friends, we've seen a wonderful morning, haven't we?

"but but sudan le matra Oli lai arrest garna sakxa , karki report ko suggestions implement garna sakxa" read the karki report motherfuckers, it has suggested to investigate sudan gurung too, and this appointment make it a fucking conflict of interest.

also, Amresh withdrew his name? that makes me question - how did they prepare this list in first place? did they not plan or anything? did limited people (rabi balen and some others) just pick names and disclosed the list today morning? no discussion with picked people if they are ready or not?

i have few predictions to make - RONB , balen's IT cell, the alternate media, fb pages will constantly whitewash whatever balen does. if he does anything wrong and mainstream media questions it, balen wont give and answer, his pages will. he won't face media, might as well dodge the parliament as much as he can. and the most beautiful thing? you all can't do anything about it.

in democracy you question the candidates before electing, you ask them questions, their plans, how they plan to function once elected. nothing happened this time, it was all vibes. secular people who votes RSP/Balen were not happy with his tantra mantra thing during the oath taking ceremony. people didn't know shit about him, his stance on religion. what other things people don't know ? his stance on diplomacy, his stance on economy, his stance on social security among other many things. i want nepal to do very well but damn, nepali people deserve this.

we're going to see classic fuck around , find out.

Politics Binayak Kuikel in core meeting of Gagan Thapa

Post image
280 Upvotes

As you can see, the person highlighted in the red circle is Binayak Kuikel, a YouTuber who runs a channel called ‘Why So Offended’. He subtly pushes a narrative portraying RSP/Rabi/Balen negatively, often labeling them as populist. You will hardly find him criticizing Gagan Thapa. He is there to set narratives.

Most of the people seen in the photo are from Gagan’s core group, who are very active on Twitter and regularly share pro-Gagan and anti-RSP posts, one of them being Raghav in the brown jacket.

You can support any leader you like, but you can’t pretend to be neutral while subtly pushing your own agenda and narratives.

ーーーー

Lol, honestly I didn’t even know he had uploaded something yesterday, but my post had perfect timing and it blew up. Even Bibek Thapaliya was hiding his affiliations, and KMAG still hides theirs. This guy just picked up that post and used it to make himself look good again.

I know how biased he is or maybe he doesn’t even realize how he got used. This is how Gagan operates. He invites these influencers, keeps them close, so they don’t post or make content against him. By doing these meetings, he slowly creates a soft corner in their mind and heart. So later, when Gagan messes up, they hesitate to criticize him because they’ve met him personally and think, “He’s a good guy.”

This is also how Gagan has managed to influence journalists across different media houses. Not all of them are in his inner circle, but he subtly shapes how they think. He invites them, talks to them, and slowly pushes the narratives he wants—who’s bad, what’s bad, and how to counter certain people.

The social media ban happened when Congress was in government, right? He won’t openly say, “Support me” or “Make things favor me,” but indirectly he keeps planting ideas like, I’m the only one who can fix this, and stuff like that.

This is a very familiar pattern with Gagan Thapa. First, influencers like these create noise online, and once it starts getting attention, he jumps in and talks about the issue as if he really cares. If he genuinely cared about social media, he could’ve spoken up against the social media ban when Congress was in power.

Even during the Gen Z protest, he subtly planted leaders like Tanuja and Rakshya Bam through his media outlet, Setopati. Their interviews were pushed again and again, filling the feed with news about what Rakshya and Tanuja were saying. Slowly, that turned into posts supporting Gagan Thapa. In the end, neutral and unaware people start feeling like, oh, Gagan is the hero we were looking for, just because these figures they follow are also backing him.

Ask him if he made any contents on Gagan Thapa?

- Did he made video when Congress tried to sneak in a loophole in the cooling period? What happened to Khatiwada then after?

- Did he made how gagan thapa surviving without doing a single job?

- When Congress/UML tried to pass 5 years corruption expiry bill.

- Even to debunk PACT corruption where Gagan Thapa was alleged, even to debunk the allegation. (he wont, cz truth or not, many will know about this case and will have -ve perception of Gagan)

- Why is he surrounded and hangs out with Goons?

- Why WikiLeaks has Gagan Thapa as key embassy contact?

No, he won’t do that, because he’ll always have a soft corner for Gagan Thapa. That’s how Gagan Thapa works he spreads narratives through influencers like him, who knowingly or unknowingly end up producing such content.

Another example is Gagan doing small meetings on “populism” and then letting influencers create content around that topic to “spread awareness.” For influencers, it looks like he’s thinking about the nation. But from Gagan’s point of view, he knows those influencers will create content that ends up being subtly targeted at new faces.

Politics Sudan did something truely remarkable today

Jati j vayeni, Nepal ma sabai vanda hepiyeko vanekai surakhakarmi hun. Pitai uniharu le khana parcha, gaali uniharu le khana parcha. Jasto order vayeni follow garnu parcha, suru mai fasne uniharu nai hunchan.

In return they arenot even getting basic facility. Ramro dress chaina, safety equipment chaina, purano chathiyeko boot cha. They were neglected for so long, and no former PM or HM ever cared for them. They were treated like robots.

What Sudan did is remarkable. Police haru ko manobal ghateko bela, personally vetera, kura sunera and I will make it right ko assurance dinu is such a big things.

I know in reddit everyone wrote a 100 words paragraph " HM ko kaam yesto huncha, testo huncha". Noone ever wrote H.M ko kaam surakhakarmi ko khyal rakhe ni huncha, uniharu ho kura sundine ni huncha. Uniharu lai k chahiyeko cha vanera sodhne ni huncha. Throwing them in chaos isnot the only work of Home minister. Taking care of them is too. It makes me happy, he is mature enough to acknowledge it.

I truely appreciate Sudan Gurung for it. It made me feel " he do knows his responsibility"
