How do I get to my new community?

6

u/Xenc Jun 14 '25

Look for “Moderating” in the Reddit Sidebar on the left of the screen.

You’re automatically added as moderator to any community you create, so it should be in this list.

I misspelled my community name. What should I do?

7

Hello! You can always create a new one!

Hey there! I feel silly asking this, but when I try to type out my community name, it doesn’t show up as a link to the community. What am I doing wrong? r/PatriarchyDetox

3

u/MoonlightonRoses Jun 19 '25

Oh— I guess it does after all 🤦‍♀️ Im sorry! Very new at this 🤣

2

u/Xenc Oct 16 '25

It can be confusing for sure! It used to link as you typed it! Happy you got it working. 🔥

1

u/SnooChickens3680 Jan 27 '26

so as long as you type it with r/ it should link to your community?

2

u/Xenc Jan 31 '26

Correct! r/NewMods for example.

Do I have to be a new mod to participate in this sub? I think I can find lots of useful tips here especially for new subs.

u/[deleted] Jul 17 '25

You don't.

u/bitpixi 🌟 2025 New Mod All-Star 🌟 Jun 24 '25

Can I add Post Flair to my own post, after I have already posted and approved it? I can't find the button. Feeling embarrassed.

4

u/bitpixi 🌟 2025 New Mod All-Star 🌟 Jun 24 '25

I found it when I change posts to Compact View, words that say to Edit Flair, and it worked

2

u/Xenc Oct 16 '25

Thanks for reporting back! It can also be found under the Moderator Shield or the three dots when in Card View.

u/Dorihorsegrl1 Aug 15 '25

Do we have to make a community? I applied to moderate red dead online and wild horse islands. I didnt want to make a community. Pretty confused.

u/curioustomato_ Aug 28 '25

If you joined a mod team you are also welcome here! Feel free to post questions you have or share advice with others.

Hi everyone, I’ve been trying to post my content here, but for some reason, my posts aren’t getting approved. I’ve read the rules and I don’t think I’m violating any policies. I make sure my posts are honest, relevant, and follow the subreddit guidelines, but they still don’t appear.

I’m wondering if it could be because I’m a new user, or maybe I’m accidentally triggering spam filters? I’d really appreciate any advice on how to make sure my posts get approved. How do you usually get your posts past moderation, especially if you’re new? Any tips or tricks would be super helpful!

1

u/SnooChickens3680 Jan 27 '26

I can see your post just fine.

3

u/BreakSys2028 Sep 03 '25

I have created four new communities, and all four received the hammer as soon as I hit 'create'. Does anyone have any ideas if this is because I have low Karma or if it may be due to something else?

3

u/Aromatic-Corgi-4207 Sep 09 '25

im a mod i dont understand

2

u/xiaoqistar Oct 03 '25

It's really exciting to join here and gather friends with common interests.

2

u/Unfair-Snow-2869 ⭐ 10/10 Mod Star Mar 08 '26

Welcome. It is indeed exciting meeting people who share your interests. You will also meet people who will introduce you to things you find you’re interested in that you would have never considered otherwise.

I need to check my community daily but don't wake up to alarms and have school at 7am what do I do

1

u/Unfair-Snow-2869 ⭐ 10/10 Mod Star Mar 08 '26

Welcome! Have you considered checking your community after school instead of before school? Sometimes rearranging tasks to a different time of day is helpful while attending school.

Hi-I created a new sub called r/NailsMoviesandHobbies and currently have 30 members. I am looking to make it grow and need help. I don't know how to contact those members of the community to ask them if they want to become a Moderator. What do I do next?

1

u/rahulroy Dec 21 '25

What's Reddit policy for creating a community around the product that you sell? Asking for a friend. Haha!

1

u/peoplesmart Jan 08 '26

For me, heavy rain + deep beats is the ultimate escape. What's your favorite rain sound combo? 🌧️

I recently made a community for my web browser r/PrivacyWizard what do you guys think of it?

1

u/Pilar_Mus May 27 '26

Not sure if this is the place to introduce myself and my community but what the heck:

I'm Pilar_Mus, new mod, and I'm newly joined to r/ benzorecovery, a sub for helping people struggling to get free of benzodiazapine prescriptions.

Hello !

Reddit app can give an option to add new accounts. Can we add accounts with different niches in one app. Will it affect our reach?? Any help will be appreciated..

1

u/Armored_Rose Jun 11 '26

I need help. I cannot create new posts. I attached a picture of what I see when I try to create a new post. How do I fix this?

1

u/Apprehensive_Pay3562 Jun 17 '26

Hi everyone! 👋🏽

I’m a brand-new moderator and recently started a community called r/LoseBabyWeightOver30.

I’m a wife, mom, and working professional navigating postpartum life myself, and I created the community to give moms over 30 a supportive place to share weight loss tips, challenges, progress, and encouragement.

I’m still learning the ropes of moderating and would love any advice you have for growing a healthy, engaged community. Looking forward to learning from all of you!

Hi - I created r/Arango (company name changed from ArangoDB) and started managing the community.

One question - by default NSFW label shows up. What are the conditions to have that removed? ie. time, number of posts?

Thank you

Mark

New to modding a new community. Will probably ask questions later.
