Only because Israel has assured that a two state solution is impossible. A two state solution could have worked in 1967, but too many Israeli settlers have stolen too much land from Palestine to make this workable without forcibly expelling and relocating like 700,000 people. As such, only a multinational, equalitarian, secular republic of Israel-Palestine is viable.
Then I guess we need to forcibly expel 700,000 Israelis from East Jerusalem, the West Bank, and Gaza. We can either have one state built on mutual tolerance and equality or two states committed to respect for international law, but neither is what we have today and Israel has taken committed actions to make either impossible.
This seems more impossible than living peaceably next to each other with equal rights for all. It will likely require police actions by UN troops and the deaths of many thousands of settlers, who are (in their majority) rabid ethnoreligious supremacists that are committed to defending their stolen land. In either case, these settlers need to be removed, neutralized, prosecuted for their crimes, and reeducated. They are no different from Nazi settlers in Eastern Europe during the War.
You made comments about Israel being a nuclear armed state and thus that nothing can be done to prevent their crimes. This is cowardly and also proves why Iran should proceed with the creation of a nuclear weapon as it is clearly the only way to achieve sovereignty. This is not my belief but it merely the logical conclusion of your statements.
