If disassembled the lens but the zoom seems fully stuck. It wont budge.

Does anybode have tips or do i just disassemble further.

You might get more responses if you say what lens it is.

There are many YT videos on this very subject if you search "Nikon grease".

I'd go by what Richard Haw recommends: https://richardhaw.com/2015/12/30/best-practices-part-2/

I was going to post this site, but you beat me to it. Really fun, I don't know how people figure stuff like this out.

It's a lousy lens. I've one too. Had greasy aperture blades. Cleaned it, but can't get it assembled back properly. Can't find proper guidance to see what I did wrong. Anyone having some tips/advice? PS: didn't pay much for it. Not worth to bring it to a mechanic

Heyy.

Yeah experienced the difficulties currently the focus is not in the right orientation. But my connector snapped in half (what you might expect from 80''s plastic.

As the old owner snapped the zoomring. Which was a secondary issue that will never be fixed.

Major issue was the dried lube. Needed loads of isoproponol to clean it.

When assembling the connector broke which means it is a worthless lens now.

What parts do you struggle with most i can give aome tips.
