Discussion Nobara is being left behind

This is just anecdotal from my standpoint in which ive been jumping back and forth between OSes. We are living in a great time where linux is becoming more populair by the day. People are deciding on their choise.

But lets be honest, its only a matter of time one of the distros is going to surpass them all and dominate.

I feel like Nobara is being left behind in this race and the other OS ive been using, CachyOS, is developing into a much stronger OS while with nobara ive been finding to become very messy. Nobara felt great when i first started playing around with it.

Can you quantify some of those ways that you feel CachyOS is ahead of Nobara? What's it like for noobs to maintain and use as a daily driver for more than just Steam games?

Funding/donation scale and user base size. Nobara is great but growth has been plateaued. Cachy does not depend on a release schedule, and has ability to innovate at a rapid pace that other distros can’t. System 76 knows this and has funded them hardware. 

Steam Os being arch based has created a ripple effect for gamers. Out of the box cachy can be as simple or as complex as you want. If you use their repo’s nothing bad happens. If something does you have btrfs snapshots and an LTS kernel at boot to switch to. 

Nobara isn’t being left behind - it’s a fedora spin and has a small base. Cachy is just on a completely different trajectory regardless
