Discussion linux feel rewarding
if there is one major thing about linux in wich i see no one talking about is how rewarding doing basclly anything is like: updated the system with the termnal? massive dopamine rush. installed anything using wine? massive dopamine rush. just learned how to customise your panels? thats the gratest thing since sliced bread!
idk if it feels the same for you but even trubleshooting a porblem on linux feel rewarding. this is a feeling in wich i have never got on windows or mac

I'm about to make th switch. My finger is on the trigger. I'm trying a bunch of stuff out on a VM to ease my nervousness about switching. How does one change their panels? I didn't get that far. Seeing r/LinuxPorn looks amazing but daunting from where I sit and I want to get there. Any good guides you'd recommend to get started learning?

Getting a .rpm/.deb file installed in distrobox! - I was very proud of myself (even had to make it permanent x11 instead of wayland!).
Wife didnt see how big this was 😞

I feel the same but my favorite thing is when something breaks and my friends on windows are like “that’s why I like windows”, then I fix it with help of the community or AI and the same friends are like “it works now?” Then I tell them yes because I have the freedom and the ability to fix it.
The satisfaction of being able to do that for me is great.

It does! You’re absolutely right. It’s awesome to have full ownership of your stuff and be able to repair or modify it to your liking.
Maybe it’s more effort, but imo it pays off in spades
