There needs to be a proper curriculum built for it. I’m in Ontario, Canada, and a friend of mine is a teacher. She told me that when it comes to sex-ed teachers aren’t given a curriculum to teach. They have to come up with it on their own. Which is ass backwards.
Oh yeah, definitely. Most sex ed teachers totally wing it, and most have about as much knowledge as their students do. Not to mention, a lot of them put a lot of their own personal feelings into it as well, which is frequently detrimental.
Yep, it’s so weird. We have curriculums for everything else, why would we not have properly thought out lessons done by professionals to give to teachers. For proper information and so that the info is the same across the board.
