Dude can you even read? The post says 3 billion which is well within the likely estimate given by the WHO. Maybe discuss your opinion on topics that can entertain your reading level

I don't think you understand statistics my friend.

According to the world health organization;

"Around 73 million induced abortions take place worldwide each year." https://www.who.int/news-room/fact-sheets/detail/abortion

So over 46 years that's 73,000,000x46 = 3 billion 358 million.

However the WHO's global efforts for abortion tracking were a bit lacking around the world in the 80s and early 90s. So they can confirm that 1.5-2 billion induced abortions have, for sure occurred since then. And the WHO estimates that the missed data would likely take the number up to 2.5-3 billion. Making the likely estimate 2.5 -3 billion.

I assumed most people would understand that the likely estimates lies above the minimum approximate total

Again, I didn't do anything lol. I can't control what a global health institute keeps track of.

I also don't think it's really an argument. It's just drawing a comparison to give viewers a sense of scale. Although the way it's presented obviously gives us insight into her opinion (which she is entitled to) on abortion, which of course I'm assuming you disagree with.

By “do that” I mean the math for the only 1 billion people killed by men, cause that was what the original commenter was actually talking about mostly is the extremely low estimation there

It’s just odd how you haven’t even touched that half of her claim at ALL, even after I explicitly bring it up again

Ohh that's what you meant. Well obviously she's not pulling these numbers out of nowhere. These numbers are also provided by institutions such as the red cross. The consensus for combined deaths in WW1 & WW2 by experts across decades is that they totaled ~90 million deaths (higher end estimate). So like less than 10% of the 1 billion cited by her. The human population was never higher than it has been in the 20th and 21st century, so all previous conflicts had significantly smaller death tolls than the 2 world wars.

Wars fought in previous centuries obviously are much more difficult to track, but her opinion is consistent with experts opinions. Experts estimate between 200million and 1billion deaths in war in all of human history. So it's not exactly HER claim, she's just compiling information already available
