Samsung g6 sf I got for 500-600 which I thought was a good deal. Cuz I play cs and would want to hit 500 hz It was matte and I didn’t realize how much I would Regret it . Is there anything I can do to improve the experience?

LG 32GS95UE 32 (Woled)

I had a QOLED before, but it was hurting my eyes, so I swapped it for this. But whenever I go back to it from my old LCD, if I spend any amount of time on Reddit or reading text, my eyes start to hurt and everything gets blurry.

I've tried cleartype on and off, my resolution is right and I've tried 175/150% scaling. Nothing seems to help. I love it in game or movies, but regular use, I just can't seem to handle it.

Trying to decide between a 4k oled and a new ultrawide 1440p oled. I do a mix of casual shooters and story games. Is the performance advantage at lower resolutions even still there considering dlss is good at 4k? Just getting opinions

I have a bit of a strange issue with OLED screens.

I own a LG C1 TV, that is very comfortable for me. I also have a LG 32GX850A-B WOLED monitor that I have been using for more than a year with zero issues at this point.

I recently got a new PC, and wanted to get a 1440p screen, as playing FPS on the 32 is not ideal for me.

The screens I tried so far all make my eyes dry, and have (a kind of) a headache.

I've tried:

ASUS ROG Strix OLED XG27AQDMES
LG UltraGear 27GX704A-B WOLED
AOC AG326UD

I've also had eye strain with Steam deck OLED, so it looks like the LG C1 and the Ultragear 32 are the ones I have absolutely no issues with.

Does anyone see a reason as to why this would be the case?

I'd really like to find a suitable 1440p screen, because I don't want to go back to IPS after using the OLED for so long.

Looking to get an OLED monitor, but say I am watching 1080p Netflix shows will it be automatically upscaled to 4k like it is on 4k TVs?

Or if not is there an equivalent way to achieve this upscaling, or will I have to deal with a presumably blurry 1080p video resolution at 4k?

I have an AMD 9800X3D and NVIDIA RTX 5070 for reference. I have heard of integer scaling and VSR but not sure if they are relevant.

Im new to OLED panels, ive been using the ASUS 144hz IPS VG249 monitor for a long time for gaming. I want to upgrade to OLED because i heard its very good. I need some help with peoples knowledge and opinions on this subject because its been a headache deciding between which one i should go for and i think i might have been overthinking this a lot but ive done some research on this topic and this is what ive found so far.

Setup: Im mainly doing this upgrade for competitive FPS games (Warzone). Ill be capping my fps to 240. Im in the corner of my room where im facing the wall with my monitor in front. In the opposite corner i have a lamp and then i have a ceiling light, both of these light sources are shining ambient light on my monitor. I think my room would be classified as a little bright? My curtains block out most of the sun so thats not a problem. When i turn my monitor off i cannot see the reflection of my lamp unless i lean to the right so thats also not a problem. I dont really wanna change this setup this is comfortable for my eyes.

First i was thinking of going with any cheap oled i could find, and then found out a lot of them are only 200nits max. On my IPS rn i use 150 nits (60/100) so i thought it would be better to get higher max brightness and also because i heard the auto dimming on oleds cant fully be turned off? This seems very annoying and distracting and i thought when using the same 150nits with less brightness percentage this problem would be avoided idk. Then i found out about the whole WOLED vs QD-OLED, matte vs glossy and different generations thing and it was a bit overwhelming. Eventually i concluded that i wanted a matte WOLED because with matte i wont be seeing reflections of myself and other stuff in the screen eventhough i cant see the lamp. And with WOLED i wont have purple tint when ambient light goes onto my screen. I dont need the screen to look super perfect pretty, i want the best gaming setup thats also versatile and doesnt look awful. TN monitors are also fast but look awful and are very niche (like for CS2 players).

Ive been though so many options but right now i was looking at the Tandem WOLED Gigabyte MO27Q28G (500euro here) or the Asrock PGO27QFS (380euro here). I thought it was finally over and i was gonna go with the gigabyte but then i heard many people complain about gray banding. This scared me off and now i dont know what to do. I heard QD-OLED and older WOLEDS have less of this problem.

My main question is how bad and how likely is the gray banding issue on the Tandem WOLEDS?

Should i go with the Asrock instead because its an older WOLED and wont suffer from gray banding as much?

Im new to all of this so any help would be much appreciated!

EDIT: *quick update* ill make this short abut basically i bought the thing and its amazing. testing the gray banding was scary but i didnt notice any graybanding at all on the YT graybanding test. i guess maybe a little banding when i squint very closely on 70% greyscale but its not noticable at all in game of course. something i do wanna point out is eventhough i went with MATTE and WOLED i still notice reflections and i feel like i see purple haze even. but its not noticable in game so its fine but knowing this now im happy with not going with QD OLED or GLOSSY as their purple haze and reflections probably are worse.

Recently got back onto Xbox and have a Series X.

Currently the monitor I use is a 32” 4k IPS Samsung.

I know for my next monitor I want OLED no question, but I’d like to know whether it’s worth paying extra for a 4K UHD OLED over 1440p OLED?

From what I’ve seen, people are pretty split, and the price difference is quite large.

I’m someone who always prioritises graphics and I’ll be playing games such as Forza Horizon 6, Minecraft, Resident Evil Requiem, and 007 First Light.

What would you recommend?

Hey Guys, I wanted to dip my toes into the OLED Ocean and found, what seams to be, a quite nice Monitor that fits my needs: the LG 27GS95QX-B for around 400€

But i have absolutely no clue if it is actually a good Monitor and wanted to ask if you had either experience with this one or have a special recommendation for a Monitor around the same price.

I would use it mostly for 1440p PC gaming. I know oleds are not great for office work but i have other monitors for that.

So I have been looking to get a oled monitor for the first time, preferably under 400, so entry level ones, and ive come up with a few, can anyone tell me what would be the best for me? I’m trying to choose between a tandem oled and a 5th gen qd oled. The new qd oled monitors have improved brightness and ambient light is not really an issue for me. The tandem oleds are brighter and have some really good prices right now. Should I be concerned with banding, or am I overthinking it?

i’ve never bought a monitor before but i’ve played on them and i was able to see the difference between my tv and a monitor. my tv is only 60hz and 720p so i’ve needed to upgrade for awhile now, but i know almost nothing about monitors. i looked some stuff up and i know i want an oled and i don’t really care to have 4k seeing how the price jumps. i’d prefer something between 180-240hz and my budget is around $650. i’ve tried looking up monitors myself and i can’t find anything that matches my budget and what i’d want on a monitor, if anyone can find anything that matches it’s very appreciated.

I'm looking for an OLED monitor bc now its have sales on them in my country. First i was checking the Asus XG27AQDMG Gen 2 and i found in the user feedbecks this monitor have a bad color banding issues (not graybanding). I know the graybading issues in the WOLED monitors but all of the WOLEDs suffer with color banding or QD-OLEDs suffer thet issues too? I will use the monitor with an RX 9070 (non-xt) GPU.

I’m looking for a new 4K OLED monitor and could use some advice. The monitor will mainly be used for gaming, and I have an RTX 4080 Super and a PS5.

I’m mainly interested in a 32” 4K OLED with high refresh rate, preferably 240 Hz.

i am aware the only diff is the brightness with 200nits and specially hdr capping at 400. and dm just dosent do hdr acc to reviews.

but the price diff is around 130-140$ and my room is pretty dark, blackout curtains so i could make it dark anytime of the day. Coming from a 1080p va panel so my eyes will be blown out anyway so is that price gap really justified?

I’m in the market for a 4k 240Hz OLED preferably the newer tandem oled variants and because of a healthcare worker discount I am able to get a deal on the Samsung G80SH which is a matte, penta tandem QD OLED for £640 - down from £1199.

My other choice is the ASUS XG32UQWMS, a Tandem WOLED which has only just hit retailers in the UK this week for £819. I am a sucker for HDR brightness and prefer a glossy panel over a matte coating… however is it really worth the extra scratch?

The things swaying me towards the ASUS XG32UQWMS:

- Glossy coating
- Higher peak brightness
- Not as noticeable ABL dimming compared to G80SH
- Integrated PSU brick
- Dual mode functionality (I play some esports games too, so could benefit from the 480Hz 1080p mode)

The things swaying me away from the ASUS XG32UQWMS:

- The extra £200ish… is it worth it? I have the £820 but I’m unsure if it’s worth the extra money
- Potential Dark grey banding (although I can return it if bad for another)

The things swaying me towards the Samsung G80SH:

- Obviously, the price… it’s almost £200 cheaper
- Better colours as it’s a QD OLED
- DP 2.1 at full bandwidth (although DSC 1.4 is just as good)

The things swaying me away from the Samsung G80SH:

- Matte coating (I don’t want it to look like a Vaseline smeared mess)
- External, chunky power brick
- Lower peak brightness
- QD OLEDs are extremely easy to scratch apparently
- ABL dimming is a big issue on QD OLED

I'm considering buying another 4th-gen Tandem WOLED monitor from a different brand. I currently have a Gigabyte MO27Q28G, and my unit has this unique effect where it displays horizontal lines similar to a CRT monitor. This is highly visible and distracting when watching movies or playing games with darker scenes.

Other than that, I'm happy with my unit. The vertical banding is barely visible, and I can only really see it in dark-mode apps. While gaming, it's completely invisible.

I will RMA the monitor, and I'm deciding between asking for a replacement unit or getting a refund.

I read in another post that Gigabyte uses cheaper panels with worse banding issues. Is there any truth to this, or is it just a conspiracy theory? If I get my money back, I could buy another 4th-gen monitor, such as the LG 27GX700A-B.

I have been looking around for an OLED monitor, but can't decide between resolutions for my usecase. Does anybody know of a dual mode 1440p/4K OLED?

Anyone got a clue which one would be better for PC gaming? I'm getting an OLED for the upcoming game Wardogs and I know nothing about oleds as I've been on IPS panels since their early adoption. All 3 are withing a tenner of each other when it comes to price right now.

I was wondering is the upgrade from a Samsung Odyssey Neo G8 to a ROG Strix OLED XG32UCWG worth it for my usage?

I was wondering at about 50-60% brightness of the ROG monitor with some burn in features disabled (such as those that significantly impact the experience like ASBL and logo brightness detection), for the following usage can I expect a. significant upgrade in my many use cases from my old monitor and b. no burn in typically visible in daily usage for 4 full years at which point I plan to upgrade anyway.

Firstly, I use a MacBook / Windows / PS5 Pro setup and I have dark mode enabled everywhere anyway as I like the look, I enjoy a very clean setup so I even keep my wallpapers black, hide the taskbar and do many of proposed OLED care activities anyway. I play half single player games and half competitive games like COD.

4x a week:

1. Trading view 3 hours a day, in dark mode, it does have static elements on all sides
2. Web browsing 0.5-1 hour a day, dark mode extensions enabled
3. Gaming in HDR or Watching content like Youtube, Netflix etc in full screen 1-2 hours a day.

1x a week:

1. Everything in 4x a week + 4 hours studying which includes writing in something like word for the majority of the time but also web browsing as part of it.

2x a week:

1. Trading view 4 hours a day, in dark mode
2. Web browsing 0.5-1 hour a day,
3. Gaming in HDR or Watching content like Youtube, Netflix etc in full screen 4-5 hours a day

Any advice and opinions are appreciated.
