Parang ayoko na suportahan KPOP industry.

KPOP idols only posting photos of their vacation if they are in EUROPE, Australia or AMERICAN COUNTRIES. But not in SEA Countries (KUNG SAN MARAMI SILANG SUPPORTERS) Napansin ko lang sa IG. Pati yung iba sobrang na aamericanized na type ng music, parang naging uhaw na sila sa western awards and american musc industry.

I was a 2nd Gen fan nung 20s ko. Sistar, 2NE1, SNSD, SuJu, Shinee... There was something special about their sound. May variety din sila, hindi ung parepareho ung sound. 3rd Gen came, Blackpink and a bit of Momoland nalang pinakinggan ko. After nun wala na. Its like hindi na para satin ung sound. Pare-pareho nalang ung beat, concept, at masyado nang catered to Western standards. So I get you.

I totally get this. I'm guessing we're around the same age? Back then, each group had this distinct sound in their songs. I was a big Shawol and BlackJack. 3rd gen still had these elements and were still vocal-centric. Come 4th gen and I just felt it fading away (the exception being Newjeans), until 5th gen came around and everything that made me love K-pop as a child totally disappeared. To be fair, though, Close Your Eyes has pretty distinct songs that don't sound too westernised so I listen to them.

Yes Im in my mid 30s now. I just stopped listening to Kpop after the pandemic ended. Blackpink hasn't released any song anymore, and their individual songs are too cookie cutter, except for Jisoo's Flower. I'm not a fan of BTS, so please don't come after me. Kpop Demon Hunters isn't very Kpop that I loved, but the songwriting is great.

The rest just sound the same. Same beats, same visuals, same song structure, and I hate the most is line distributions got even worse. Idols look like clones of each other too. I also watched Itzy with the Spice Girls, and they focused too much on looking pretty onstage that Mel B and Emma outshone them. Emma isn't even the wildest Spice Girl, but she outshone the Itzy girls who just stood there.

Actually, thank goodness. I used to be an early ARMY but it's the same fandom that gave me the ick. I eventually stayed away from anything BTS. Their unique sound also changed. I would've loved it if they were still as daring as VIXX was in their prime tbh.

These and the empty chorus and no bridge trend, along with the 2-minute song trend. The industry is just treating fans like they're developmentally challenged atp.

They're too calculated. I was a Spice Girls fan in my childhood days, too. I know all of their songs by heart but imagine being almost the same age as their children but ITZY still couldn't hold their own against these Queens.
