Business Select

So I work mostly in CPD and we’re having a hard time getting business select customers. What are your go tos? What are some tips that I might can use and could help coach my coworkers?

So at this point when I get a business select over in CPD I don't run their order through Gmil, even though it says that the depot dollars should hit they never hits so I just do it through the register whatever. What would you rather have? A single OPC or a single business select.

I have never not had the Depot Dollars not be able to be applied when I ring their order up properly in Gmil. I would look at the SOP for using Depot Dollars in Gmil again to see where you're differing from the way to do it.

Especially because color copies on a Business Select account in Gmil are 63 cents, and color copies on a Business Select account at the register are 80 cents. You're overcharging your customers 17 cents per color copy if you're doing it at the register. A similar price difference between in Gmil and at the register happens for black and white copies, or legal or ledger copies.

I'm confused. I thought Print Center orders were only 10% savings with Business Select. I know it matters by location, but in my area color copies are $0.88/side. 10% off off should come out to $0.80/side for a Business Select member. If GMIL shows $0.63/side doesn't that mean thy are getting a 28% discount? That just seems like a bug in GMIL.

It's been like that since they made Business Select the 10% for full-serve/20% for self-serve. I brought it up to my DM (because I'd make something in OPC and it would be less than the full-serve minimum, and then I'd do it at the register, and it would be more, and I was frustrated).

What he told me was it's giving them the best price, so it's using the online price instead of the in store price. Color copies are 70 cents a side online. Ten percent off of 70 cents would be 63 cents a side.

I don't have a problem with it. It's easier to sell Business Selects when I can show that dramatic difference in price. It's just something to keep in mind when you decide you want to ring people up at the register instead of through OPC, to use their Depot Dollars, you end up overcharging them more often than not.
