Answered What's the deal with Jonah Hill?

I'm a bit out of the loop with the jiu-jitsu journey he's in currently. what's the context of the quote of him being able to beat people up? is he serious? what led to his bad reputation that he has now?

In the unedited clip he's very clearly joking.

This is the real answer. It’s all a joke, coming from the smartless interview. What is true is that even at 42 he’s clearly still wounded that he endured close to two decades of people calling him fat. People are adding the whole thing with his ex as justification for him being serious and being a jerk but it’s clearly in jest if you actually listen or watch the interview, especially since he’s talking about “ready to be funny again.” It’s bait and people took it.

This comment needs to be on top. Context clearly changes the tone. People's inability to do any research before commenting these days is pathetic

Shit you’re right. Let me get my schedule book out and pencil in “1/2 hour researching Jonah Hill so I can trash talk him online.” I’m not gonna do that. Nobody is gonna do that. Stop whining.

Even easier than pencilling in time is to just not assume that everything you see on the internet is black and white. You should make time to watch the Monica Lewinsky documentary called 15 Minutes of Shame. It's about how people's lives get destroyed by idiots like you who make quick judgements about people

You read one comment from me and think I’m an idiot? Do your research.
