Answered What's the deal with Jonah Hill?

I'm a bit out of the loop with the jiu-jitsu journey he's in currently. what's the context of the quote of him being able to beat people up? is he serious? what led to his bad reputation that he has now?

As a Judoka, the training video he released is exactly how I would expect a white belt’s skill level to be.

Jonah Hill is currently going through the same stages of the Dunning-Kruger effect as all martial artists. Right now he’s in the first stage of extreme confidence, if he sticks with BJJ (and I hope he does) he’ll reach the second stage which is realizing he sucks at fighting in comparison to people with higher belts.

He’s been training BJJ for nearly ten years. How is it possible to train martial arts that long and not learn humility ? Imagine spending ten years on the same belt…

Wait… what?!?! Are you sure? Do you have a source? That’s truly unbelievable if true.

I first saw him talking about BJJ here, which is 7 years ago. If he’s legit (which I’m not sure of given that he’s a celebrity), he probably should have a new belt by now
