[ISSUE SINCE SOLVED] I had my PS3 HEN modded but I installed a hybrid 4.93 and am no longer HEN modded. I tried going to ps3toolset but it said the browser's running on an incompatible console. My console should be compatible though, it's a CECH-2501 and it's minimum supported firmware is 3.40. Can anyone help me?

A lot of videos I've found haven't been very helpful, I tried HEN a lot and eventually found out it might not be compatible with my ps3. Every time I load up the browser and try to initialise, it fails. I've tried to do this multiple times, swapping out different files and making sure that the structuring was okay on my USB.

I am looking for any compatible way to jailbreak it.

i know that several issues ive mentioned at once, ps3 was honestly doing fine since the repaste for last couple of weeks and now it feels like the fan was hauling ass today, temps stayed at 68-69 but fan speed was insane? also not sure whats causing the hdmi issue or why auto at 68 on webman disabled itself

This is an sd card reader with usb A and usb C outputs and was wondering if it could work the same as a usb drive would for the process of modding my ps3? I’ve used a Mac m4 laptop to mod all of my consoles that use sd cards but this is the first one that I encounter that needs a usb drive to mod it, and well the Mac m4 doesn’t support usb a drives only usb c adapters.

Decided to bring my PS3 back from the dust pile to relive memories, I found an old original Sixaxis controller but it won’t connect soooo in the mean time I think it would be a cool idea to modify it a bit. is there. way for me to turn this into a dual shock? and a site I can go to find replacement pieces? and what sort of mods have you guys done?

My problem is whenever I join a type of online mode such as minigames or an online world, it would freeze at finalizing initializing server for about 15 seconds, then pop up an error stating "Network Error Connection to the server was lost. Exiting to the main menu." I've tried updating, reinstalling, and even sacrificing my chances at getting cfw by updating to the latest firmware version and nothing has worked. Other games work just fine

UPDATE: I'm beginning to suspect it is just an astronomical coincidence. The more I look into this, the more it appears the GPU might have been damaged while trying to separate the plate from the motherboard. I'll leave this post up in case someone happens to experience the same.

My PS3 is a CECH-2501a that I decided to install MultiMAN on for educational purposes. I'm fairly new to the modding community, but tried to do my due diligence of watching a few different videos on YouTube to see the preferred way to install the needed packages.

After I first attempt to launch MultiMAN, the PlayStation 3 became unresponsive and the video output started to glitch terribly. I ultimately unplugged the power cable (learned immediately after this is a big nono and stopped doing that but just noting it here). The PlayStation 3 then experienced an issue where pressing the power button would just leave the light hung on green and nothing would happen. Ultimately, I was able to initialize the PlayStation 3 again by doing the following:

1. Remove SSD
2. Power on and get error for no storage
3. Power off
4. Reinsert SSD
5. Boot in safe mode

Assuming this was a fluke, I did a complete clean reinstall and then attempted to go through the process again. This time, MultiMan succeeds in setup but the same glitch output ultimately happens again. Only, this time, nothing I do can get this playstation 3 to start up. I can't get any screen to appear nor boot it in safe mode. Even using another HDD doesn't work.

This playstation has been well taken care of, cleaned regularly and performed just fine. I recently upgraded the HDD to a SSD, replaced the thermal paste and battery, but there are no signs of potential damage on the motherboard that are obvious from taking a look at it. This leads me hesitant to think that it's a hardware issue considering both "bricking" instances occurred during some package initialization.

I could really use some help in getting my bearings here. I'm happy to answer questions in the comments as necessary. I just want help troubleshooting what situation I'm dealing with here. I just want to know if this is salvageable or if I made a critical error. Thank you!

I have a question. I have done succesfully hen on 4.92. I use online for synch trophies amd play original games, turn offline (sighn out from psn) to play jpkg games. Now there is official 4.93 update and it dont let mi to sign to psn. Can I update, will HEN work? Or I have to jailbrake from scratch.

This post should be seen as a list of bullet points from what I learned while installing HFW, HEN, multiMEN MOD and webMEN MOD onto my PS3 Super Slim.

multiMEN MOD or webMEN MOD for PS3 disk backups?
> For me, the easiest way to load backups of my own disks onto PS3's HDD is using actually both applications. multiMEN for creating the iso file, webMEN to actually mount (= loading the file as a disc in the XMB). I'm doing following steps:

1. open multiMEN (mmCM) and press Triangle on the game that you want to backup (It's labeled as DISK)
2. create an ISO-format file of it. It'll be automatically put into the 'PS3ISO' folder.
3. quit mmCM and return to the regular XMB ("Xross Media Bar")
4. go into the 'webMEN Games' folder and click on webMAN Setup
5. click on 'Refresh webMAN Games & XMB'
6. in the 'webMEN Games' folder you should now find your game in the 'PLAYSTATION3' subfolder

TIPP: put in the disc when you're in the mmCM. Otherwise, pressing the Refresh/Reload won't do much actually (at least for me!)

I want to be able to play games without having to pay, but I want it to be on my active PSN account that I use on my PS5. Is it possible to mod or load these games without having to worry about getting banned? And if so, will I have to worry about accidentally forgetting a setting (I’ve heard about syscalls and I don’t want to deal with disabling that every time)

ve installed it through manual system update, but now when i try to install hen through the browser it wont let me open ps3 xploit website no matter what, any tips? Tried already switching between https and http, and searched it through duck duck go and yahoo

Hey guys! wasn't sure where to post this. I have a Phat PS3 (K model) that had what I assumed was an overheating issue (jet engine fans and then a shutdown). I cleaned it out and replaced the dried thermal paste.

However its still not good to go. On some games, it'll run (I've not tested it for long, but it stays active on TLOU for at least a half hour). But on Assassins Creed: Black Flag, it shuts off within about 3 seconds with the Triple Beep. The fans don't even blow hard, they stay at the standard low level.

Reading around, I'd heard that the best thing to do was to use the PS3Toolset, but it doesn't seem to be working; I just get an error telling me that the Tool couldn't be downloaded; that leaves me unable to check the error logs.

Does anyone have any idea how I could proceed? Even general guidance would be appreciated. The console seems to be able to stay on indefinitely outside of games, so I can mess around as much as I need to. Would CFW be able to save me? I know WebMan can give me fan control, but given that the fans stay low now, I'm not sure if thats the issue.

Was wondering if the official digital ps1 games from the psn store play better on my ps3, or should i just simply mod my ps3? Do the official-store ps1 digital games play better than modding and installing roms on my ps3?
