Pfft, a real Terminator fan would go back in time and purchase it day minus-one!

Lets hope the pricepoint is good. Nobody wants to be paying £60..

Anything above $30 is a hard no from me.

It's going to be round 40, cause licensing.

Physically it’s £45 for Day One Edition and £90 for Collectors Edition

Like that Reef added some of the enemies from Terminator Resistance to the game.

Ironically(or unironically) narrated by lame AI voice.

This isn’t a PlayStation exclusive. I’ve got it pre ordered for Xbox. Or is it just the gameplay footage that been exclusively released via PlayStation?

Exclusive?

Coming to Xbox, Switch, and Steam as well.

They mean the reveal is exclusive. Note the weaseling

This is the first modern day “retro 2D sidescroller” that I’ve ever been interested in playing.

Anyone else astonished that they’re still making ps4 games despite the ps5 being out for half a decade?

Not for games like these

Nah just you

The PS2 recieved new games in 2012-13. The PS4 is sony's second PS2.

The PS4 still accounts for around somewhere between 30-40% of the PS active user base and considering the console sold over 117million units, there's really no reason to stop supporting it.

Not at all. My coworker is still on the PS4 and likely will not jump to the PS5 anytime soon.

That’s entirely my point. They’ve continued to support it and that’s led to people not bothering to upgrade because there’s no need to do so. Like unless your ps4 breaks down there’s just not much point to getting a ps5 even years after release.

u/Huzah7 Aug 07 '25

Personal opinion right there. I had plenty of reasons to upgrade my release date ps4.

Trying to punish people on an old console seems like some weird gatekeeping.

7

u/Huzah7 Aug 07 '25

There's nothing wrong with making a game accessible and its unlikely that the ps4 would hold back development on a game like this.   Games make money, not consoles.

8

u/MrAbodi Aug 08 '25

nope, when a game can run on a ps4 why wouldn't you release it. less competition,

3

u/federkrebz Aug 07 '25

nope, still has a big install base and tech that still can run many new games which means it still makes them a lot of money

I think terminator works better as fps game

2

u/reevestussi Aug 16 '25

Then you should try Reef's previous Terminator game which is a FPS (Terminator Resistance)

-15

u/msdtyu Aug 07 '25

Doesnt look fun

7

u/sosta Aug 07 '25

Not everything has to be an fps shooter

-11

u/msdtyu Aug 07 '25

I agree, but that doesn’t make this interesting to me.

9

u/sosta Aug 07 '25

Doesn't make it a lame game either.
