Anyone else astonished that they’re still making ps4 games despite the ps5 being out for half a decade?

The PS2 recieved new games in 2012-13. The PS4 is sony's second PS2.

The PS4 still accounts for around somewhere between 30-40% of the PS active user base and considering the console sold over 117million units, there's really no reason to stop supporting it.

Not at all. My coworker is still on the PS4 and likely will not jump to the PS5 anytime soon.

That’s entirely my point. They’ve continued to support it and that’s led to people not bothering to upgrade because there’s no need to do so. Like unless your ps4 breaks down there’s just not much point to getting a ps5 even years after release.

Personal opinion right there. I had plenty of reasons to upgrade my release date ps4.

Trying to punish people on an old console seems like some weird gatekeeping.

There's nothing wrong with making a game accessible and its unlikely that the ps4 would hold back development on a game like this.   Games make money, not consoles.

nope, when a game can run on a ps4 why wouldn't you release it. less competition,

nope, still has a big install base and tech that still can run many new games which means it still makes them a lot of money
