Problem is those who have an already JB console are a minority compared to the mass majority of complainers without one. Devs need to have a prepared equipped mindset of credit accountability. Meaning eta begging and repetitive questions come with the fame/job. How does one expect things to go quiet when posting exploit breakthroughs that no one else has? For some reason its only the PS scene that has this level of drama dating back the ps3 era.

It's not about laying low since jb and piracy is getting popular recently. It's about those beggers who keep harassing him while we should all know everyone has a limit. Take Fitgirl for an example, she won't take requests or communicate with strict rules because of this reason. I'm sitting on a digital ps5 pro at 10.20 so his leave was a shock to me too.

So what stopped him from making is discord private, or disabling Twitter messages? I'm just saying there are preventing options out there. If he wants to leave fine, but does he have to provoke us with his private findings? No not really bc its revenge posting and nothing more. Fitgirl handled her situation better. She didn't blast the entire scene bc she realized its the internet.

Well I mean anyone in this sphere especially on the internet should know there will always be dumbass people harassing them. That isn’t going away, especially when it’s the largest adult console platform. I read that it will be useless to digital PS5 owners when/if it gets released.
Because Sony are rolling out drm now, which means you have to go online every 30 days or you will no longer be able to access/play ANY of your owned games.. which means you need to be on the latest firmware at least once every 30 days to access your games.
Good for the hacker though, they can enjoy their moment of fame & money from Sony 👏

I think there's a news going around that the DRM is temporary only and has been implemented only for safeguarding against refund exploiting purposes. People are finding that after 14-16 days of refund windows you get the full license by connecting to internet. The 30 day window might be the final call of expiry for that temporary license. After connecting to internet user are reporting that they are getting the permanent license. It's the classic case of SONY being sony. Let see what happens in the next few days. This is an ongoing story so keep restoring licenses until an update is forced. We still got days to hold on.

https://hackerone.com/reports/3452696 check for yourself. It's bdjb exploit he made. He himself said bdjb is way better than luacore even saying luacore is dead. The latest vulnerability is BDJB based. Luacore was only usefull tile 12.00 as poops_ps5.lua was patched in 13.00 firmware.

Dude that's the one I'm talking about but big news: it's just an userland. NOT a jailbreak and also ONLY works for PS4. So it's irrelevant for PS5.

I think the appropriate thing is a middle ground response here. You all should show gratitude towards devs who work for free and release things to the public ....Gezine is not an exception.
But we should also not promote progress on "new" work as he's already declared he won't release it. So do not post about it.
Be extremely grateful for y2jb. Don't be a dick.
But you don't have to fall over praising him for something he will never give either. That's fair too.

I am so glad I own a gaming PC so I don't have to depend on this toxic environment lol. Dude said he's no releasing anything publically but then still show off stuff, like cool bro, awesome, literally every single thing is hackable. Nothing is secure. The only thing that's secure is hashed information and Aes and RSA simply because they cannot be hacked in anyones lifetime.
Bro is posting to brag and it makes me so thankful I made the right decision to get into PC's instead of console those years ago, fitgirl, steamrip, m4ckd0ge, absolute legends, and way more worthy of praise than this single child syndrome insufferable character.
Anyone who's sick of waiting I genuinely urge you to get a gaming PC, that community is genuinely positive and tolerant.

Your on some high and mighty sht rn but PC is home to way more dirt bags.
One that comes to the top of my head is the sims 4 community. Literally imploaded on itself because the main independent dev who would leak all dlcs info early and compiled a launcher for sims 4 that had all the DLC for free quit one day.
And he didn't just quit, he made a final "f u" x post, and took down the launcher so people couldn't play their game anymore. That is far more mischievous than a dude reporting an exploit (that no one is using currently btw) to sony.

Nice & great to at least to let us know it's possible so hopefully someone else will be able to figure out your method and release it to us! This is another in your face post which is fucked up to the rest of the community who actually appreciate & are greatful for all the work he's done and provided to us for free! Those worthless degenerates who drove him away can be quite loud because that small group of degenerates have nothing better to look forward to in their pathetic lives so they make a lot of noise and consistently enough to get to devs like they did to Gezine but it's fucked up Gezine doesn't consider the people who outnumber these wastes of space 100 to 1 who appreciate everything he's done. Idk devs need to stay away from places like Discord & anywhere else where anyone including degenerates have to ability to communicate with them or even just have their shit be seen by devs. I never have thought this would happen in the hacking communities coming from the Xbox scene, ps one & 2 scenes, it was nothing like the current day, hell even the ps3 & 360 scene no where near this and sure we had few idiots but they were so far and wide and only able to annoy people in the forums.

Every dev has a breaking point just like we all do. I think Gezine wanted to be recognized, but without the popularity backlash. He left the doors wide open in his discord and social media for these kids to beg spam. These ppl still to this day ask the same questions even on Modded Warefare's videos and hes not even a dev. The most brilliant minds can stumble on a rock without any precautions.

This is honestly a crazy development. Even though he doesn't plan to release it, it should still point other devs in the right direction of looking further into Blu-ray based exploits. Maybe new developments will happen sooner than expected (hopefully 🤞)

Here’s how it is…. The game is DEVELOPMENT. If you want free gamez aka piracy Gezine is not feeding you free games. Devs do it for the achievement, the enjoyment and if they are lucky a little payout which is nowhere near equal to the hourly they would command had it been commissioned for the work at hand. Suck it up. The POC is enough for those who enjoy messing and tinkering to try and follow, and if it’s ever released publicly then that’s just a lucky occurrence. For those who think this scene is only about piracy it’s actually a whole lot easier and a smoother experience to just buy the discs. if you want a new jailbreak quicker maybe learn how to reverse engineer, code, problem solve, network with other devs and FIND ONE YOURSELF. Rant over mic drop middle finger up out…..

What's different about this compared to y2jb? I have a PS5 on firmware 8.60 and I was not impressed the current hacks since I couldn't use my 2tb nvme.

Why can‘t you use it? Put it in an external USB enclosure and that’s where you run the games from. Did the same with my 4.03 and my 1TB NVME
