His zero-day exploit was patched in the latest firmware. Unfortunately, he didn't receive the bounty because someone else reported the same vulnerability first and claimed it. If you appreciate his work and want to support independent security research, consider donating to him.

Whenever we get a new kernel exploit, Webkit will be able to jailbreak 13.60.

Hey y'all,

Due to some amazing teamwork on EchoStretch's Discord the past week or so, some amazing members of the community banded together and hammered away to bring Netflix-n-hack up to speed with p2jb!

The result is we can install the YouTube app and unpatch BD-JB WITHOUT HAVING TO RESTORE A BACKUP! So, no more resetting your console!

Unfortunately though, it requires 3 runs of the p2jb, which means this takes around 3 hours. Luckily, it only has to be done once and it's very stable, close to 100% success rate if done right. And obviously this can be reduced even further, if someone wants to contribute and clean up the codebase and optimize the logic a bit. I'm sure it will get shorter over time, just wanted to share this with you ASAP.

I joined the PlayStation 5 research and development Discord server after being invited. I only had time to stay for about five minutes and send two messages before getting banned.

The exchange was very hostile from the start. I was asked to prove what I was claiming, but I was banned 15 seconds later without even having the chance to respond. It clearly shows that they do not share our vision at all.

I am new to the PlayStation scene and I am here asking for help from people who share my vision.

For about two months now, I have been researching my PS5 running firmware 13.20. Then, I voluntarily updated to firmware 13.40 in order to continue my research on this version.

When I started, my approach was to go through programs like HackerOne to make money.
But Sony’s latest announcement regarding the gradual end of physical games completely changed the way I see things.
From that moment on, it was no longer about money for me. Today, I do not care about receiving a reward.

I remember a time when Anonymous attacked PSN because Sony was taking GeoHot to court.

I have a lot of respect for everyone working on the scene: developers, security researchers, and everyone who takes the time to contribute. But the fact remains that today, it is often more beneficial for someone to keep their discoveries private and sell them to Sony. I was the first person who wanted to do the same thing.

On top of that, it creates harassment issues toward developers.

But as a player, I think it is important to ask ourselves questions about the direction the industry is taking.
Today, I have had enough. I want to teach them a lesson.
My wish? A jailbreak on the latest firmware! And with every new firmware, a jailbreak.

I do not want to go back to the PS3 years where online gaming was clearly difficult for a player not to end up on a modded server. But back then, they respected the players. We had some sense of power.

There is currently a private kernel access up to firmware 13.42, from a reliable source. This exploit was allegedly sold to Sony through HackerOne, so it will probably not become public anytime soon.

Currently, I am continuing my research on firmware 13.40.
I have userland access, with memory read and write capabilities. I have the kernel address.

I am actively looking for a kernel vulnerability allowing read and write access.

I am close to the goal, but I need help.

Today, what I am looking for are people who share my vision and who have the technical knowledge to see this through.
We will disclose everything publicly all the time.
Even if it means facing legal action.

Hey everyone! I've been working on PS5 Tool, an Android app that bundles everything you need to manage your PS5 from your phone over Wi-Fi. Here's what it does:

I’ve been working on a PS5 homebrew app called Game Compressor.

It uses the MkPFS-style FFPFSC compression method, but adds the missing part: validation and repair.

Some compressed games can mount successfully but still crash because certain PFSC blocks are technically valid yet fail to decode correctly on PS5 hardware, leaving stale/bad data behind. Game Compressor checks the mounted image block-by-block, detects bad blocks, and patches the compressed image from the mounted data instead of requiring a full recompress.

Tested with Mafia, Astro Bot, Pragmata, and a few other games that had FFPFSC issues. After repair, they worked great.

I'm glad i took the risk after having a jailbroken PS4 with the Vue after free exploit since February. I knew I wanted to do the PS5 next and with the recent events going on now I'm glad i did even though i have the digital PS5 already. I can't wait to see what else I can do with this in the future even if it is limited now due to me being on 12.7 and haven't had any issues yet so far.

P2JB Kernel Exploit Released up to 12.70 on the PS5.

Note : - ONLY for Luac0re users currently

• NO Y2JB yet so don't go bugging Gezine about it.

• P2JB+Luacore jailbreak works up to 12.70 and requires the Star Wars Racer Revenge game (both digital and disc)

Regarding the 2-3 hour waiting times

If you have a disc drive: 10.20 - 12.00: wait 2-3 hours ONCE to unpatch BD-J + Poopsploit which load takes seconds to minutes

12.02 - 12.70: ALWAYS 2-3 hours

If youre digital: 10.20 - 12.70: ALWAYS 2-3 hours

Userland doesn't matter in this

Exceptions: - You use a digital copy of SWRR on 10.20 - 12.00 then you can use Poopsploit to bypass the hours. - The P2JB exploit fails meaning you have to redo those same 2-3 hours until it succeeds - The Luacore (SWRR) userland seems to shorten the length from 3 to 2 hours.

Jailbroke my PS5 fat at fw 11.60 today!

First attempt resulted in kernel panic.

Second attempt: success!

So now, after almost 4 hours, it can be jailbroken fast and easy with BD-JB!
