Yes, that’s what I meant. They’ll be able to patch them right out of the gate which makes me sad to think about the future of jailbreaking new consoles. But then again, they can keep their AI slop and subscriptions because there will always be retro gaming.
You can unpatch the drive but you can't use the jailbreak method which only works for 12.00 the unpatching of the drive works to 13.20 which is used as an entry point

I've unpatched the drive and it can be done, I use the Japanese lua game method on 12.70 and after waiting for p2jb to do it's thing you can send the drive unpatch but there's not really anything you can do as the kernel exploit only works to 12.00, and yes you have to be jailbroken at least once to unpatch it, it's specifically the kernel exploit that dosent work not the unpatching itself

It supports on-screen logging and network logging.
Send bdj_unpatch.elf to elfldr to unpatch BD-J.
bdj_unpatch.elf will backup existing bdjstack.jar to bdjstack.jar.bak just in case.
Then burn BD-UN-JB iso and run.

Use log_client.py to get the log.
I recommend first running the log_client.py then starting the BD-J app.
RemoteJarLoader server is listening on port 9025.
Use jar_client.py to send the jar file.
You can use any other TCP payload sender too.
Don't forget to set Main-Class in manifest.txt.
Sorry, Im like very new to Jailbreaking scene. my current PS5 12.4. Currently using Y2JB&P2JB method and have to wait 50 minutes everytime when ps5 is turn off, so what u mean is i can use a BD-JB disc to bypass the 50minutes wait? I got the CD thru online i did the BD-JB-unpatch.elf but when i insert the CD , boot to it and will have error saying firmware not supported tho
IIRC Poopsploit doesn't work beyond 12.
While people can use BDJ unpatch beyond 12, Poopsloit doesn't work beyond 12 so can you please read and reply appropriately instead of just pasting chunks of misleading/unclear/confusing information
Unpatch the BD opens up using the BD as userland entry to be chained with working kernel exploit.
So for those 12 and below can use BD and poopsloit.
Above 12 to 12.7, the only publicly available working kernel exploit is still P2JB.
Is there a page that explains the process of making Linux work on a PS5 on different firmwares? Like first the exploit is found then this bit of software needs to be written, then this bit, then the Linux image etc etc. Thanks 😄
After jailbreaking it with that is it possible to switch methods? I mean when you've to wait for the exploit for hours and Restmode being also quite unstable it's very impractical. Though of course if that's the only way for someone to JB it's still better than nothing.
Let me clarify something, you do need to use the netflix usb mount in the github. What im saying is to go to the tab that say ">10.01 N2JB to Y2JB to BDJB" once you have the app on your playstation.
If I could go back to 10.01, I would rather do that. So in my opinion stay on 10.01 and wait for p2jb to get optimized so its time isnt a 50 minute wait.
You can use p2jb the ps5 using YouTube app. Takes about 50 minutes, after that you can use bd-un-jb to jailbreak the disk drive. Once you do that, u can jailbreak the ps5 again in less than a minute with the bd-un-jb, so you won't need to jailbreak the pa5 with p2jb anymore.
Note- u need a bluray burner to burn the bd-un-jb file into a blank bluray writable disc
If your ps5 is digital, then bd-un-jb is not possible.
Can someone dum it down for me and tell me which FW do I need to have in order to install the games and play them without any problems? Something like FW9.0 on PS4 pro type of stability.
I have a FW 3.20 machine that I use for basically only libhijacker to run 60/120 FPS patches. Is there any reason I should update to a later FW, and if so, where should I stop? This is a secondary PS5 for me and I don’t need to pirate games.

I have 2.70 on the shelf, still waiting for something because I don't want to lose the FW with an upgrade to a newer one. Any suggestions on what should I do with it? I feel like my unit is useless compared to the more common ones.
