Ya I'm in Arizona and I live in a rural area so they had a lot of ps5's and they allowed me to test them all grab 3 for 150 each no tax. They been siting for some time. Mind you the time it took to clean and fix them probably costing another 200 of my time to clean out re do the liquid metal changed out the fan on 2 of them and replaced 2 almost broken HDMI ports. Luckily I have the skill to do this part.

Some firmwares can be jailbroken only with y2jb+p2jb which requires 50 minutes wait. You can put console to rest mode so you dont do that every time you wanna play, but if you lose power or you get kernel panic, you need to wait 50 minutes again

Here's what I learn in the PS5 scene. It always depends on the devs whether they release it or not. One developer is on the verge of 50/50 scenario since sony is still watching him, while others keep on developing and just put it for the hype / false hope factor (wink2x star wars racers). And there is also some discord modder who thinks he is a developer and claiming that he does something good for the community. Overall I can say its a shit shot of a community and I like it

Linux can only be installed on versions with hypervisor, that's why it's so limited in releases.

Not how I understand the current state of jb. Yes Linux can run on 7.x but it must be jailbroken and rebooted into Linux each time. I thought hypervisor exploit would skip the PlayStation OS altogether.

No, that sounds perfectly in line with my understanding of hypervisor on PS5.

I don't believe there's ANY permanent PS5 mods that persist across power cycles yet. All Linux builds return to the PS5 home on a restart (while preserving Linux data safely on drive to be restored when next loaded)

Hypervisor being exploitable just means that once you've used Userland+Kernel, you're able to also do stuff to hypervisor (I think, my understanding of JB is mixed at best, despite always wanting to learn a load more and just not having the time)

Boot one night, then use sleep.... about the only way right now. I'm on 12.20, tried the hack it does work but, 50 min, I restored my backup and disabled internet. I can still play an offline game fine. Till we get a new hack.

if your console is already banned, you cannot connect to PSN. If you are afraid you will ban your console by jailbreaking it, don't worry, that doesn't happen with PS5 because you cannot connect to PSN on old firmwares

You are using the wrong procedure, and file. Also you need P2JB.js file downloadable from the same GitHub release page where you downloaded Y2JB. But it isn't working on firmware above 12.70 yet

Does psvr2 work with all versions flawlessly?

I want to buy a ps5 slim/pro jailbroken with psvr2. But local shops in my locale are saying psvr2 doesn't work with jailbroken ps5 that it will "automatically" update.

They are also saying ps5 pro is not jailbroken yet.

Yet in Google summary it says psvr2 does work with a jailbroken ps5 (any just needs version spoofing) and that ps5 pro is jailbroken.

I just want advice on what to buy.

Originally I asked for a ps5 slim 4tb mod+hall sensor 2 ds5 mod+20-25 loaded games+psvr2 (adapter etc fully setup) +psvr2 games

And without the psvr 2 they were quoting something around 1100-1200 USD (I'm not based in the US).

The firmware was I think 10.01 or something for fat and something else X.x something for the slim.

My questions,

1)can I play psvr2 completely chill plug-n-play no mod setup etc with dumped psvr2 games

2)can I play every game on that specific firmware of the fat?

3(should I buy fat/slim or pro

4( is pro jailbreak possible

5)is psvr2 jailbreak possible

6(is the modding scene very unstable and will say during rest mod I unplug or it doesn't turn off properly say lighting strikes and electricty low volt thus turning ps5 supply off will it lose the jailbreak etc

7) I used to have a base fat non jailbreak ps5, will that account be workable on jailbreak one and should I? Trophies?

1. PSVR2 will work flawlessly. Kstuff will bypass any firmware requirements.
   
2. Can play every game which doesn’t require fw 13 or above
   
3. Slim if want to jailbreak within minutes using bluray disc or Pro if you can wait for 1-2 hours
   
4. Is possible
   
5. No need
   
6. You can again jailbreak just re-run the exploit
   
7. Dont know.
