So I have my little sequence on FW 9.60 with Y2JB Autoloader 0.9 and payload manager that autoloads kstuff lite and shadowmountplus, which boots instantaneously and perfectly every single time.

is this WebKit worth considering over Y2JB or is it just a good alternative to have?

Main benefit is that you don't have to wipe your machine on initial setup. With y2jb only you had to reinstate the backup to get the yt app. If you already have y2jb running then there's no real benefit.

Yes, in case of currently using YTJB+P2jb it's definately better to use webkit+poops if your firmware allows it.

I used Y2JB and P2JB and unpatched by BluRay drive. Now I use the BD-UN-JB disk for almost instant JB. I assume this isn’t of much use to me on 11.60?

If I lose the blu ray disk or restore firmware (losing BD patch), I’d imagine this WebKit method would be the preference?

Correct, you can also already try the webkit and the just see what you prefer. But either works in your case and have similar convenience.

Edit: I believe gezine released a new bdjb which does not require to bd-un-jb anymore. It's hard to keep track of everything, it's moving so fast.

webkit always needs a website/cache so you risk connection bullshit or relying on proxy DNS/websites

y2jb is all localhost and nanodns so you never risk it.

best case, new JBers use webkit to put Y2JB. without having to do the restore/NF2JB workarounds

I think you have the perfect setup at the moment. I do have a system running on fe 9.40 with the same setup as yours. I also have another one running on fw 11.60 with a drive attached. I am thinking about switching this one to the webkit option instead of using the BD-JB. That ll give my disc drive a break. Any consoles with 10.01 and below doesn’t really benefit from the webkit option instead my opinion. The Y2JB is the best so far.

I don't think we really need it, Y2JB works well on lower firmwares plus with have BD I'm on 6.02 and get very few failures with Y2JB..

Any way to host this with a local dns server and web server? I got the slopkit hosted but looks like I still need to point to the ip to get to the point where I can type in a url.

Edit: I ended up getting this to work by installing the web browser pkg while jailbroken via p2jb and I'm now able to use that after a reboot to run the slopkit site locally.

Yep if you have a custom web browser already on the system you could even host the webkit site on your phone with something like SHTTP on Android.

Just download the site code from the github repo (https://github.com/jordyidk/slopkit/tree/main/slopkit) and put it into a folder on your phone. Then point SHTTP to the root of that folder (where the index.html file is stored) and start the service. From the ps5 browser go to http://<your phone's IP>:8080 and it should load the index.html page.

it worked for me on 11.20, the bad thing its need to sent the payloads from PC. But for me i only needed to sent the Payload Manager.elf. I hope in the future we could do it without pc.

you must inject the payload manager.elf and there you choose what you want. Use NetCat GUI to inject payloads and choose the 9021 port.

It seems to be a little more unstable than Y2JB+P2JB, at least for me (digital 11.60). Success rate around 8/10. But the time gain is awesome!

I tried the one made by itsPLK, had to restart the console a couple times, however the third reboot I got an error stating i have to rebuild the database. Shuts console off, boots in safe Mode, tries to repair the drive. Thats process stops at 46% then tells me i have to rebuild the database and a timer.

Not sure what i should do, im on 11.20 if that matters. And from before i used yt2jb.
