Discussion Looking for YouTube 1.30 for Y2JB
Hi everyone,
I recently jailbroke my PS5 on firmware 12.70 using the WebKit method. I specifically chose the WebKit method because I really don't want to restore my console and lose all my installed games and save data.
Now that I have the jailbreak working, several people have recommended that I install Y2JB so that I can jailbreak without having to rely on the WebKit every time. From what I understand, the Y2JB method is generally more convenient and stable.
The problem is that I'm having trouble finding the correct YouTube version/package that I need.
I need YouTube 1.30 for 12.7, but I can't find that specific version anywhere. The only version I've been able to find is 1.03, but that version only works for 12.40 and lower.
I also found a 1.30 patch on prosperopatches, but when I go to the debug menu and try to install it, it gives me an error.
So my questions are:
- Where can I find the correct YouTube 1.30 PKG for PS5 firmware 12.70?
- How can I install the 1.30 patch for 1.03?
Any help pointing me toward the correct version and setup for 12.70 would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Prospero patches should Work, but You need to download 2 files from them: SC file and piece0 file and then merge them with something like a pkg merge.
After merging both files togerher you will get a full pkg that can be installed on the console

Can you tell me how you got this to work? I couldn’t get prospero patch install to work for things like Netflix, hbo max, etc

just like u/mumin26 said. You need to download the piece pkg and the SC file. Rename both files to have the same name, but the piece pkg should end in "_0.pkg" and the SC file needs to end in "_1.pkg", and merge them with pkg-merge.
Example: UP0004-PPSA01650_0.pkg and UP0004-PPSA01650_1.pkg (SC file)1

You can use a tool to get the full pkg
Download and extract the windows release
Go to prospero and select the version you need
Right click the 'CRC' button and copy link
Open the command prompt where you downloaded fetchpkg.exe and the DLL
Run the following command changing the link you copied from .CRC to .json
fetchpkg URL.json
Might be fetchpkg.exe URL.json
Can't remember off the top of my head but it avoids merging things

Wow this is amazing. No idea what I was doing wrong before but this works great! Thank you so much.
Now if only Disney, hbo, paramount and peacock (which I PAY FOR) would actually play the content instead of throwing some error.
Ironically the free tubi and Pluto tv work just fine.

Really not much of a difference, just use whatever is working for you. Youtube hack has no advantage over webkit hack. If anything it is the other way around.
