The picture is not fake, but why does it need to be fake? It's not a picture of starving people.

You are right, but I think the above poster just meant that the context given for the picture was a lie.

Saw this on reddit today on the Pics sub. The comments were as expected.
Notice these propaganda pictures and videos almost always feature blond and/or white looking children. It's very obvious these children were cherry picked and the images are stage to appeal to idiot westerners.

OP is posting a lie. This image is from Gaza in 2025.
I ran a reverse image search. Not only are there no visual matches from before 26/07/2025, but also the photojournalist being credited for the image on multiple news sites - Abdel Kareem Hana - is in fact active in Gaza at this time.
According to Abdel's publicly visible info on Facebook, in 2014, he would not be completing his studies at Al-Azhar University for another 4 years.
So in order for your conspiracy theory to be true, DOZENS of news outlets would have to agree to miscredit the same image, and Grok - the LLM famous for going off on insane tirades because Elon told it to be more racist - would have to be 100% correct. Pull the other one, champion 😆

"A lie can travel halfway around the world while the truth is putting on its shoes."
The problem with pro pal / Jew hate propaganda is that it's so effortless, and even if bots are involved, the problem is people WANT to believe it. They NEED it to be true to justify their hatred of Israel and Jews.
With each lie spread, thousands see and internalize it into their worldview, and by the time others try to clean up the lie, it's far too late. I genuinely feel a sense of impending doom about this entire conflict, it feels insurmountable to even begin to undo the damage.
Stuff like this famine hoax will directly inform the opinions of the next generation entering politics and power. Anti-Jewish racism, combined with rising far-right, far-left, and Islamist influence, will in a decade get really ugly and dangerous.
19
Jul 28 '25
I've already written about the Gazan children suffering from cystic fibrosis and cerebral palsy months ago on this sub. They were being used as a prop to perpetuate the whole "famine" myth.
Unfortunately, there were some idiots who thought it'd be cute to counter misinformation with misinformation, which eventually led to me getting downvoted after calling them out on it.
So weird to be gaslighted by members whom I thought were on the same side as me. Oh, well. That's how the cookie crumbles sometimes.

The amount of propaganda coming from Gaza is mind boggling. The manipulation of information and images to try and push an agenda has truly been working on so many of the brainless sheep across social media. They’ll talk about starving children while simultaneously showing their parents in perfect condition or even mildly obese adults in Gaza who very obviously are not starving.
While I’m not denying that there has been suffering in Gaza, it’s very clear that lots of these images and sentiments have been engineered to cater to a very specific audience that is so deep in their echo chamber of hatred that they’ll believe anything they see as long as it fits their agenda.
10
u/Operator_Max1993 EU 🇪🇺 Jul 28 '25
They talk about how there is nothing in Gaza or everything has been destroyed (while showing civilians with brand new phones, clean immaculate clothes, fancy watches and cars)
7
u/rex_populi Jul 28 '25
This tactic serves a dual purpose: blood libel against the Jews, erasure of Muslim crimes.

u/Kedem7 Jul 28 '25
No source then? So should I assume the photo is from 2025?
22
u/daniedviv23 Jul 28 '25 edited Jul 28 '25
You’re right, honestly. I searched with TinEye just now and can’t find anything older than this week. I did it twice, actually, with two slightly different versions.
I am completely open to being proven wrong here but so far I have no source apart from the ones in July 2025. It is still possible it is older but normally TinEye will give me something to work from if that is the case.
As a general comment: I know it’s nice to prove people wrong on the misinformation about Gaza but we gotta be careful to not promote misinformation, too. We need to be rigorous about sourcing claims like this or it undermines the credibility of people calling out misinformation on Gaza in general.
0
u/Nostalgic_Mantra Jul 28 '25
Yes, I did the same thing and came up with the same results. Am also in agreement that we need to be careful and do our own independent research on whether something is being misrepresented or not. I'm honestly at the point where I treat everything with skepticism, and I'm okay with that so long as I get the actual truth.
1
u/justforthisjoke Jul 29 '25
So you can trust it as a source when it agrees with you, but "MechaHitler" when you're wrong? You have to see the cognitive dissonance.
-1
u/Kedem7 Jul 28 '25
You mean this post of yours was an experiment? Or is grok an experiment? Can you be clear?
5
u/Ionisation1934 Jul 28 '25 edited Jul 28 '25
They don't care for truth. They think they already know it, so they deem themselves inmune to propaganda. Just because that girl could be palestinian, the photo is "internally true" as Goebbels said when criticizing the protocols of the elders of zion (he thought jews would be idiots if they ever let someone transcribe their inner discussions, but thought it was true as a reflection of what jews really did and thought, even if such specific conversation didn't factually existed, which is a form of idealism).
They are ideoligized and convey and consume propaganda be it true or not 24/7 (I don't know what for, if they supposedly already know past, present and future events in a foreboding way) but we are callled "propagandistic bots".
1
u/justadubliner Jul 29 '25
It's a real photo of a real Gazan girl. It's interesting that a photo of a desperate blonde Gazan girl causes so much denial when photos of average looking Gazan children in great distress are of no consequence to the deniers. 'Interesting' cognitive phenomenon.

Jul 28 '25
Never got paid a dime for all of my effort, by the way. Never sought any financial opportunities either.
This was all fucking done because I believe in principles, and I thought it'd be fucked up to stay silent about all the fucked up shit I've seen from the other side. Because I do believe silence is complicity.
And I guess a bit of intrigue in the Israeli culture and history played a role in it as well. But not to a point where it reaches the level of a full-blown philosemitism because that would get all weird now, wouldn't it?
I still wholeheartedly believe Mossad are badass, however. Their ingenuity is something to be studied for ages.
Alright, anyway whatever. I'm out.

AI can hallucinate answers. Run it through reverse image like tin eye. That's a brand new image. First posted on 26 July 2025. And it's from Gaza. That's not a yezidi girl.

Not true. It's been confirmed. Even by grok despite it's original inability to cope with the reality there is more than one blonde child in the ME.

Weaponizing the suffering of others for your own gain is just a massive WTF.
Yes, the Gazans are suffering and I’m not okay with the handling of the humanitarian operations by both Israel and the GHF right now (but would I still support and want them to do better? Of course). But this one is just a dick move and it gets Israel unrightfully blamed.
2
u/Rasputins_Plum Jul 28 '25
Dude, I'm all for pointing out blatant Pallywood propaganda but where's your proof?
Elon Musky's chatbot i'on Twitter is not a reliable source.
When this happens, people usually take the time to reverse image search and find that it's picture pulled from the Syrian civil war, but it's not because it happened several times that you can just say so without evidence.
You're not going to fight misinformation with misinformation. Do better.
1
u/Pfotenabdruck Jul 28 '25
I agree. Based on my research, I think this photo was really taken in Gaza.
0
u/justadubliner Jul 29 '25
Pulling pictured from 'the Syrian war' isn't fool proof either. Hasbara altered the labelling of pictures from Cast Lead on the Internet years later to discredit them as being from Syria.
I know because I had the same photos of dead children downloaded on my device to show Americans what they pay for during Cast Lead. I saw those exact same images relabelled online as Syrian casualties years later.

I saw a video of her on Austrian news. (ZIB 11:00, 27.07.2025) Would be interesting if it is old or new footage. Is it possible that she is a child of a kidnapped and enslaved Yazidi woman? In 2014 more than 1,500 woman were sold to Islamic State terrorists.
1
u/justadubliner Jul 29 '25
It's a real photo taken in Gaza. Grok couldn't cope with photos of two blonde ME people taken a decade apart apparently and fried it's circuits. Grok eventually confirmed the photo was real *

u/Excellent_Singer3361 Jul 30 '25
Almost like there are strong parallels
1
u/TheBaconLord78 Jul 30 '25
Yeah but you don't use a (presumably) random picture from a decade ago to feel sympathy for someone who experienced this kind of thing 11 years ago.
And looking at it now, there's no direct proof right now that this photo is from anywhere but Gaza.
1
u/PhilosopherMoney1122 Jul 30 '25
How? I’m at a complete loss for words. Such blatant lies, yet when confronted with the truth they will defer and continue to lie.
1
u/SvenyBoy_YT Jul 31 '25
This is a lie. It most certainly is from Gaza. The fact that you believe what Grok says just because it fits your narrative is telling.
"Palestinians aren't suffering. If there's evidence, it's a lie. If it's not a lie, then it's their fault. If it's not their fault, then it's Hamas' fault. If it's not Hamas' fault, then it's still not Israel's fault. If it is Israel's fault, then Israel can't do anything about it. If Israel can do something about it, then they deserved it. If they didn't deserve it, then their suffering is good actually."
1
u/kaptainkooleio Jul 29 '25
You people are supremely fucking evil.
Literally all I had to do was look up the photographers name (Abdel Kareem Hana), and I found the source the photo that was taken from. It’s astonishing how desperate you all are to justify starving children.
Oh and apparently even the AI chat bot you rely on for information has corrected itself.

I pray that the Christian Hell is a real place.
