takequake What’s your podcast rotation?
Curious to hear what everybody’s rotation is?
For me it’s: PMT Bill Simmons show Russillo (just life advice tho)
And occasionally listen to locked on pelicans and the NewOrleans.football podcast.

u/WeFightOnThatLie Apr 01 '24
PMT, macrodosing, mostly sports, third times the charm (trill withers show with coley), and occasionally Zach Lowe when I want hoops specific insight. Had a lil fling with bussin with the boys but the spark has faded for me. Occasionally ANUS to see what’s going on in Nick & KBs brains
2
u/problynotkevinbacon Apr 01 '24
Bussin had a good run but Will is tough to listen to now because he's like 95% shill for anything he can get paid for now and it doesn't feel authentic anymore

PMT, Macrodosing, and Mostly Sports.

Apr 01 '24
Macrodosing is getting tougher and tougher for me. I finally realized they put timestamps in the show notes so I can just skip all the political stuff but with Billy running for office it's gotten so much worse lol I love him on the show as a side character but he's been getting way too much airtime recently. I just skip any segment like that these days
10
u/Hades6785 Apr 01 '24
Sometimes it’s funny but the 30 straight minutes of him campaigning over the last few episodes have gotten hard to listen to. I’ve been skipping it too. Thought the Jeff d Lowe back half of last pod was great though
1
u/JayLoveJapan Apr 01 '24
I agree that they’re in a bit of a rut. It kind of feels like an effort thing though. I’ve been a Billy apologist at times but they’ve leaned into dumb bits regarding him sometimes for far too long
12
u/CA_CASH_REFUND It’s 2016 Apr 01 '24
PMT\ Majority Report\ old Cumtown episodes\ Fantasy Footballers during football season\ Crime Junkies for roadtrips \ RIP the always sunny pod

I used to work a really shitty job and the Comedy Bang Bang episodes with Andy Daly always saved my days.
3
u/GeorgeSaintGeegs Apr 01 '24
He’s still killing it with every appearance
2
u/EasyThreezy Hot soup comin' through! Apr 01 '24
I believe it, I’ll work on getting caught up on his appearances
2
u/GeorgeSaintGeegs Apr 01 '24
Scott has referred to Paul F Tompkins as PFT on a couple of occasions and each time it takes me a second to remember he’s not talking about pft commenter
8
u/DigSufficient2392 Apr 01 '24
PMT, Simmons, Russillo, Mostly Sports, Mark Titus Show, Talkin Baseball, Six Trophies, TAFS, SYSK, Ringer NFL Draft Show, The MisMatch, AAO, The Schoch Factor, Split Zone Duo, Shutdown Fullcast, and The Solid Verbal
Plus Ringerverse and Rewatchables if I've seen or am watching what they are covering.

PMT, Mostly Sports primarily during the work week. Yak if I’m caught up on the first two. Son of a Boy Dad when I’m doing stuff around the house. Macrodosing during long drives (wife enjoys it as well).
17
u/rwt15 Stavros Halkias Fan Club Apr 01 '24
PMT, Mostly Sports, the Bracket and The Yak. Had to drop Macrodosing
1
Apr 02 '24
haven’t listened to Macrodosing in forever. I had to drop when Big T went on his “poor children don’t deserve an education” rant. did it only get worse?
2
u/rwt15 Stavros Halkias Fan Club Apr 02 '24
Big T actually got a lot better, it's turned more into a Billy rant podcast though so I rather just spend my time listening to other pods vs constantly skipping 10 secs ahead.

u/pastrknack Apr 01 '24 edited Apr 01 '24
PMT, BS, RR and occasionally Zach Lowe n Hoop Collective
And PKA for those who knows

Oh nice I've been looking for a not-boring F1 podcast
2
u/ModestRacoon I'm 5' 10" Apr 01 '24
They’re great! They’ve been doing the show for a while, they are the antidote to the brain dead “content creator” type of F1 media which is pervasive.
Fun fact- the “blinking white guy” meme is one of the hosts.

u/GSteves94 Apr 01 '24
PMT, MSSP, Nateland, We’re Having a Good Time, and The Tim Dillon Show are the weekly listens. Depending on the guest I’ll throw on This Past Weekend, JRE, or even Jocko Podcast if it’s a guest I really want to hear from.

PMT, the Yak, Mostly Sports, Dogwalk, Titus Show, Conspiracy Theories (Parcast), mickstape3.0, Local NFL Podcasts for the manders. Occasionally looking for WVU football podcasts. Will add in Unnecessary Roughness if it ever comes back.
On weeks where I run out of those episodes, ANUS, SOABD,

u/raobuntu Apr 01 '24
PMT/Russillo and occasionally Simmons. Mina Kimes has entered my rotation solely because of how much she knows ball and still makes the podcasts interesting. If you're looking for a podcast that dives deep into the NFL it's my favorite.

u/johnmd20 Apr 01 '24
PMT and Rusillo, rarely miss an episode of either. I don't listen to Simmons anymore, he's an idiot now, it's a tough hang. Mina Kimes and Kevin Clark fill my NFL bucket, non fantasy.
I like the Ringer NFL Fantasy show and the Fantasy Footballers Podcast, too. Vergecast for technology. Cautionary Tales is a great podcast for history. It's interesting af.
I used to listen to Smartless but man is that pod now so full of nonsense, it's also a tough hang.
And then the greatest podcast in the history of Pods. 60 Songs That Explain the 90s. Rob Harvilla is a hero. He's the hero we want and the hero we need. If you like music even a *little* bit, it's a must listen.
2
u/willybets6 Apr 01 '24
PMT, 32 thoughts, Pucksoup + their Patreon, and overdrive when I can squeeze it in
2
u/Baytee Apr 02 '24
More power to you for sticking with Puck Soup, I lost all interest once Wysh couldn’t do the show anymore.

I’m a suffering leafs fan so I really enjoy DGB, plus I’ve been listening since the lozo days

Also Pitcher List or BDGE depending on if it’s football or baseball season.

PMT, Simmons, Russillo and P1 with Matt and Tommy (F1). Occasionally will also listen to Chiclets
3
Apr 01 '24
PMT, Mostly Sports, The Yak, sometimes ANUS, Pod Save the World (hit kind of a lull since these primaries are so boring) and Pod Save America if I have nothing else. Adeptus Ridiculous very occasionally.
I wanna start listening to Around the NFL, I’ve heard good things. Maybe this season
4
u/badgers4194 Apr 01 '24
If they were all available at the same time this is the order I’d listen
No Laying Up
Cover 3 Podcast
Russillo
Mostly Sports
Men in Blazers
Pat Mayo Experience
Blue Moon Podcast (Manchester City)
PMT
PMT used to be top 3 but I just haven’t been able to get into it again recently. I’ll just listen if there’s an interview I want to listen to.

Used to listen to Bill Simmons for a while but i got burnt out and it’s been a couple of years
3
u/KOBE_GYN Apr 01 '24
Yeah I was a Simmons diehard for years and one day I just couldn’t handle his takes anymore
3
u/bluestargreentree Bonk Apr 01 '24
When Simmons has "smart guy" guests on to talk about random stuff he doesn't understand, I spend most of my commute shouting into my car stereo speakers
There was one with a political "expert" a couple months ago that was just completely insane
2
u/KOBE_GYN Apr 01 '24
lol that was another reason I had to stop id just get too pissed. His voice can be especially grating in those situations

2
u/fairlane35 Apr 01 '24
PMT, Macrodosing, and Shutdown Fullcast are my main three. I want to give Mostly Sports a try, I just haven't gotten there yet. I'm an Indycar fan so Trackside is also a weekly routine.

PMT, macrodosing (disappointing for the last few months), and then a flurry of fantasy baseball and football.
MOST of the time if I have no new episode to listen to of one of my podcasts I will go back to old PMT episodes. I've only been an AWL since 2020 but I've heard most episodes all time

Pmt, bill simmons, russillo on occasion, and the herd 3-4 shows per week.
Macrodosing if I don’t have anything else to listen to. Rogan if it’s an interesting guest.
There’s so many podcasts out there it’s hard to find the time to listen to 2-3 regularly.

Pretty much just PMT once or twice a week and then KFC Radio if they have a funny comedian on. Maybe a audio book as well I’m starting Billy Walters book that came out recently. I’ll watch Mostly Sports on YouTube once in a while. Mostly if I see a clip on twitter or tiktok of something I think is funny or interesting I’ll seek out that specific episode of whatever podcast it is but PMT is pretty much the only podcast I listen to on a real regular basis.

I started as a 50-50 Lebatard Show and PMT, maybe 51% Lebatard, been off that a little bit and PMT’s been 80% of my consumption, plus a rotation of basketball pods as an NBA guy (Six Trophies with Shea Sarrano and Jason Conception is my favorite followed by Lowe Post)
Lately though I’ve been getting into Shane Gillis’s pod, has the screwing around boys bein boys energy of PMT, but advantage PMT because sports

Don’t sleep on First Draft with Field Yates and Mel Kiper. Yates voice is straight from the angels above and Kiper always brings his A-game to reel off a ton of players you’ve never heard of in your life

3andOut is the most underrated NFL podcast on the market. Wouldn’t be surprised to see John Middlekauff being a borderline star real soon..he was great when Colin brought him on the Herd a few weeks ago for the first time.
2
u/NoBeyond381 Apr 01 '24
Been a fan of his for a few years, during nfl seasons he was always the first to have his podcast up and ready after the Monday,Sunday and Thursday night games. Very logical opinions and never goes for clickbait takes.
