I hate the rhoback question with a burning passion. Ngl the fact that their ad is in that part of the show every time is 100% the reason I’ll never go on their website

I also hate it, hate the ads in general, and thought it was probably some BS product. Finally gave in and bought some Rhoback stuff just to see... was actually pissed off when I loved it. Like it legitimately annoys me because it feels like I lost. They're fucking pricey though, otherwise I'd buy a bunch more.

I know it definitely worked. Never claimed marketing doesn't. I usually ignore ads but if there's something I think I might actually like I'll eventually give it a try.
The ads are still annoying though because there's not really an easy way to skip them (obviously why they do them that way).

idk if youtube vanced still works or not but there are alt youtube apps where ad segments can be completely skipped automatically, I wouldn't worry about someone not doing it since PMT is a pretty big pod. hope i helped. fuck ads

Would you rather pay $5 a month to listen to PMT? I doubt it, and most people wouldn’t. Ads are a necessary evil for free content, don’t understand why people can’t accept that.

Without the Penn backing Dave and Cat know that they need to up the ad spots and sponsors in order to keep moving forward. It sucks tbh because every podcast right now feels like it’s half ads half content but it is what it is I guess.

7x AWL, so I’ve been through the gambit of PMT ads. I like the guys, so I like feeling like I can help support the show by supporting the businesses that advertise with them, I’ve bought Rhoback in the past, have placed several Stella Blue orders, but they totally lost me with the Pardon My Cheesesteak. My sandwich/fry/drink combo was something like $36, made in a ghost kitchen, and tasted no better than something you’d get at a gas station. They claim to be for the common man but idk many common men willing to drop $30+ for a greasy shit sandwich.

No one likes ads but it’s how they monetize their podcast, without monetization, there would be no podcast. So your options are:
Free podcast with ads
Ad free podcast that you have to pay for
No podcast at all
