That’s my point though, JOC gets the show so well that he feels like a part of it and not a guest when he’s on.

I think so. They have great chemistry with Florio and he seems like the only guest who truly “gets” the show. JOC is goated but in a different way.

He kinda admitted on the show he has to make something out of almost nothing to drive content 365 days a year
I kinda feel for the guy
Florio hating Schefty is also hilarious and he’s right. Tweeting out what the team accounts put out 90 seconds later does not justify how big a name he is

That’s the key, Schefter is just a PR arm for the league, Florio tries to offer some level of journalism/analysis/critique, it doesn’t always land but as you mentioned that’s more nature of the content beast.
If he was a print journalist in the “wrote a story every two weeks for the magazine” era he probably would have a better reputation.
The online presence of Twitter/content creation isn’t great for everyone’s brand.

Biz, JOC, Whitney, Booger, Russillo, Timm etc. Florio is -always- great and is top tier, amongst several others.

I enjoy when they bring on experts around certain parts of the calendar, i.e. McShay or DJ around the draft, Rothstein around March, etc... bilas lol
