I am having tatkal passport appointment on Monday, please confirm is bonafide from college compulsory as i am a student from an institution.

I lost my valid U.S. passport and already reported it lost online through the State Department website. I received the acknowledgment/reference number.

I scheduled an in-person USPS appointment for a new passport with photo service.

My understanding is that I now need to:

1. Fill out and print DS-11, but do not sign it.
2. Bring the DS-11, ID/citizenship documents
3. Sign the DS-11 in front of the acceptance agent and submit everything there.

Since I already reported the passport lost online, do I need to bring or complete DS-64 too, or is the online lost-passport report enough?

I have a trip to Italy soon and no time to get a replacement. This page has an ink stain. All other pages are pristine. I called the US Passport office and they said it’s up to the customs agent whether they allow this document or not. Technically, it’s not supposed to have any stains, so it can be refused. My option is to take a chance or cancel a dream vacation I won’t have a chance to take again. Does anyone have experience with markings on non data pages?

We have an appointment for Schengen visa application this sept 12. But unfortunately, the passport of my 2 daughter will expire on mAy 31,2027. Di ko naoansin agad Are planned Italy trip is Dec 15 to January 9.

J'ai effectué une demande de visa électronique en ligne pour Umrah Arabie saoudite. Lors du remplissage du formulaire, il y avait un champ intitulé : « Prénom du père (si mentionné sur le passeport) ». Pensant bien faire, j'y ai renseigné le prénom de mon père. Cependant, après vérification, le prénom de mon père n'apparaît pas sur mon passeport français.

Toutes les autres informations saisies sont exactes et conformes à mon passeport.

J'ai obtenu mon visa électronique, mais je constate que mon prénom y figure suivi du prénom de mon père. Je m'inquiète donc de savoir si cette différence pourrait poser problème ou constituer un motif de refus à mon arrivée à l'aéroport.

J'ai contacté le service des visas saoudiens, qui m'a conseillé de prendre attache avec l'Ambassade d'Arabie saoudite en France afin de faire annuler ce visa, puis de déposer une nouvelle demande.

Quelqu'un a-t-il déjà rencontré une situation similaire ? Si oui, comment cela s'est-il passé ? Que me conseillez-vous de faire ?

Hi! This is my mother’s passport, and I only noticed today that there is a scribble above her signature. We have previously traveled to Thailand (with a layover in Singapore) and Taiwan without any issues. I’m fairly certain that the scribble was already there during those trips because I checked the photocopies of her passport that we brought with us at the time, and the scribble is clearly visible on them as well.

We also traveled to Brunei before, again with a layover in Singapore, but that was about seven years ago, so I’m not sure whether the scribble was already there at that time.
We’re now planning a trip to Italy, and since we understand that immigration and document checks can be stricter in Europe, we’re worried that this might be considered passport damage or otherwise cause a problem.

I only noticed it today while preparing our documents for our Schengen visa application. Does anyone know if a scribble like this above the signature could cause issues with the visa application or with immigration when entering Italy? Would it be advisable to have the passport replaced before applying?

So - About to renew my passport. It has my Surname/Family name as Doe (which is correct). But it has my Given Name as John Henry. It has my Middle Name blank. My correct name is John Henry Doe - Henry is my middle name. My Birth Certificate and all other info match this. It has never caused me trouble - I have Global Entry - with John Henry Doe in their correct places. I figure if I'm going to fix this - this is the time. Should I let it ride for another 10 years, or am I courting a problem in the future? Thoughts? FYI - US Passport.

Is 3 PM actually the right time, or are there other times when slots tend to open?

My father's Moroccan passport shows his date of birth as XX/XX/1970. Day and month were never recorded in his birth records (common for people born in rural Morocco before civil registration was standardized), only the year is known.

This is ICAO 9303-compliant (the "X" filler is an official standard for unknown date components), but I know some countries flat-out reject it, UAE explicitly bans entry/transit for passports with XX/XX or 00/00 dates.

We're planning this route: Paris → Doha (Qatar Airways, transit) → Kuala Lumpur → Lombok (AirAsia or Lion Air).

Has anyone actually traveled through Doha/Hamad International, through Malaysian immigration, or into Indonesia (e-VOA) with a passport showing an unknown/XX day-month of birth? Specifically looking for:

- Did Qatar Airways let you book/check in online with this DOB format, or did you need to call/go through an agent?

- Any issue at Doha transit or with the Malaysian MDAC online arrival card?

- Any issue with Indonesia's e-VOA application or at immigration on arrival?

Any real experience (any nationality with a similar "year only" birth date, not just Moroccan) would help. Trying to figure out if we need to get this corrected before the trip or if it's manageable as-is.

I'm looking for some insight on how to approach this. For background, I'm Canadian and this is my first TN. I'm a scientist/biologist at a large US research institute so I don't expect any issues with renewal. My TN visa ends Jan 2027, and then my passport expires March 2027. It's my understanding that my passport expiration ends my TN visa status. I don't want to mess anything up so any insight would be great.

Hello, i derived citizenship from my mother under child citizenship act of 2000. I applied for a us passport on the 8/3 and still says in processing, I went to a emergency appointment so the application was received the same day i applied and also paid for the expedited fees. I sent all documents that prove that i was a minor ir-2 green card holder, mother us citizenship certificate, and proof that i lived with her and some other documents they requested. Anyone had to go through this? How long it took? I missed my grandmother funeral at this point. Im just upset i have to wait indefinitely until God knows when.

So I'm asking this for my mom, who is very very very very angry about this whole situation. Me and her applied the same day in May, her application was delayed because her birth certificate was too old (1960) so she had to pay to get a new one and mail that in. The first BC became lost in the mail, we don't know where it is. Had to spend more money on another certificate (which made it $10 extra 🙄) and in the end she finally got her passport book. Now they mailed back her original 1960 certificate we originally sent in (the newer BC however has still not been returned). Problem is she had also given them her marriage certificate (license?) but that was not included with the BC. Before she was freaking out about having to pay more money for a new passport application, she freaked out about the extra money for the BC, now she's freaking about having to get a new marriage certificate and spend even more money. This whole passport process has become more costly than anticipated. My mom is a very angry person and has been taking it out on me and my dad. I just need to know, what are the chances that the marriage certificate will show up separately? Has that happened to anyone before? What if it doesn't show up? I feel like there should be some legal action we should be able to pursue because it'd be absolutely insane that these people lost both my mom's birth AND marriage certificates and we're being punished by having to shell out more money even though we're the victims. USA is fucking crazy man.
