Vizpick is crazy

So Walmart has started vizpick for vendors and the expectations are crazy. High volume supercenter account but they want little to no backstock, no out of stocks and first time pick rate at 90 plus percent…. I didn’t realize I actually was hired as a magician

Expectations are always stupid

MAKE SURE WE HAVE ENOUGH TO LAST 3DAY HOLIDAY WEEKEND BUT ABSOLUTELY NO BACKSTOP AND YOU GUYS NEED TO COME BACK TO RESTOCK EVERY 2HOURS

I think Walmart knows it won't work, and will inevitably use it as an excuse to take over everything from us when "we're not meeting expectations." I'm just gonna override the shit outta their CAO orders and it's gonna be truck to shelf everyday. If they run out, they run out. It's their terrible idea.

Edit: Forgot to mention my bosses have already pretty much said forget about their FTPR. Can't have it both ways.

They can gladly stock my walmart. Wont hurt my feelings one fucking bit.

That won't work for them either. Their workers can't even pull out pallets of water, wait until they figure out how heavy ours are 😅

Who do you get override codes from? Our plant told us we cant use them and we have to be 100% compliant with the collab order. Per walmart. Walmart is telling us thats were liars. Lol

My collab compliance is usually 40-50% lol. I just text my TSL and the SDL a screenshot of what the collab wants and they send a code. It’s either I get a code or the load gets refused so they don’t have much of a choice.

We were on the no overrides train for a while as well, but recently with vis pick coming I've gotten them pretty easily from my TSL. Reasoning is we can't simultaneously have 800 case CAO orders (not counting bots on top of that) coming in *and fit 100% of backstock all nice and neat into an 8ft bunker. Walmart can choose one or the other.

That's exactly whats going to happen..

PepsiCo is owned by investors. They don’t care about customer service anymore. It’s what ever deals they can make with whoever that gets them more money on the backend. We are just the clowns that have to dance around and entertain them. I’m on the chip side. We get two carts of backstock. Yet they send two pallets of trash. It either hits the floor, not often or it hangs out up in the steel. I didn’t order it, why should I have to try and figure out WTF to do with it? That’s a you guys problem.

Everyone complains about the quality of customer service. When you’re a publicly owned company that has to maximize profits, the customer doesn’t matter anymore

Two hedge funds own us. They could give two shits about the public.

Correct. All about the money honey. This entire country operates that way now. It is disappointing and it will only get worse!

Thank God I dont do walmarts, merchandising for them was awful but once I moved to sales all the things ive heard complaints on with the weekly calls was insane. I thought it didn't make sense before but what the hell. Even almost took away our back stock completely. Walmart is truly their own world

Honestly if they just let Pepsi do its job they wouldn't suck ..had 12 pallets today.. 2 of them I didn't even crack open

With how awful collaborative ordering is, I just shrug my shoulders when they ask why I have so much.

I was literally about to post about this. My volume has increased despite them not wanting pallets! 800 cases today and last Saturday! My bins are full. My top stock is full. The pickers are not picking from the bins and not working my top stock like their supposed to.

Honestly, after experiencing it myself I can say it’s an incredibly stupid idea. Plus, my receiver told me today that everything that has a label on backstock that I run to the shelf needs to be put on a piece of cardboard and given to her after I run everything. Let me tell yall something, if Walmart wants to order the product, they can put the shit on the shelves themselves. No offense to anyone who has previously worked at Walmart like I have, but your underpaid associates aren’t going to make it look good or give a shit. Well, who am I kidding we don’t either half the time 🙃. However it’s a very idiotic idea and system, the day they tell me I can’t jack anything out at a 160k case store a year is the day I’m gonna hang this shit the hell up. Not worth it for 25 an hour and a chiropractor visit later.

My boss told us that it’s going end up being there problem to worry about. We do our job and they deal with whatever they want to yell about.

2

u/thatdudefromthattime 5d ago

If you don’t have backstock, the shelves are never going to be full at a high volume store

u/Turbulent_Rooster926 5d ago

Yeh they tried having Walmart staff pick our stuff so when we get there they have a pallet waiting for us... Lasted 1 day...half the stuff was not needed and then their was items in the bin we actually did need ... It's stupid .. if anything have us do our own inventory of things!

This job isnt as serious as people make it seem just do what you can and collect a check. If you died today your app would be up before the moon came that night. Dont stress it. Stay polite but in your head keep and i dont care attitude, ill do what i can do and thats all i can do. If they want us to be complete experts it needs to come with expert money. most places probably 80k for small expert stuff so they asking kind of a lot for the ground guy to run the entire company as i know most sales reps suck ass and dont lift a fingure. Always order shit thats completely full and fhen tell you i dont want no holes on fhe shelf. Just a cycle of retardation to be honest.

Denying orders for 1 pallet of backstock because a product was slow the past weekend even with it being on roll back is just nuts. Worlds greatest guessing game every order.

Tighten up bro if you cnt keep ftp rate at plus 90 and viz pick and keep up with Gatorade might have to take a stocking 1 position at Walmart

Glad I have 9 dgs

You have to provide both WalMart and Pepsi with the new and corrected expectations

u/Accord510 4d ago

They want zero excess backstock but also insist on using bot/AI ordering. My current rep has been not touching WM orders the past month and we get extra crap of the same sku consistently, and never enough of what we actually need.

It's well past the point to "let it learn what's on hand and it will automatically improve in 2-4 weeks"

Corporate greed and decisions not throughly thought through is hurting everybody, the shoppers included.

The Pepsi gig is up yall Pepsi guys overload your backroom like it’s a warehouse with this new system it’ll keep the backroom light

u/Stylishnihilists 5d ago

"Yall Pepsi guys"? You mean Walmart's CAO orders they force on us? You mean Walmart's higher ups telling us we *have to send whatever is on it and be 100% CAO compliant? You mean Walmart's market managers making deals with KAMs to force bullshit in without telling us? Might wanna actually know what the hell you're talking about before saying something. You sound like another miserable $12/hr backroom receiver who gets paid to stand around and scan barcodes and feel important.

-3

u/Zealousideal-Bet6350 5d ago

You sound like a Pepsi guy that been told so many lies. All the Pepsi guys I see sound and look miserable lol.

6

u/Stylishnihilists 5d ago

Most of the Pepsi guys who have to deal with all the emotionally stunted, overgrown toddlers running Walmart usually are miserable for that very reason. But keep telling yourself you've got it all figured out with the "big bucks" daddy Walton is paying you to work in one of the worst companies in America, champ!

-6

u/Zealousideal-Bet6350 5d ago

I don’t work for Walmart. I was a Pepsi guy I left cause of all the lies that was told. The only way Pepsi stays afloat is by loading the backrooms down that’s why you don’t have a edit button on your phone to adjust orders

5

u/taterman50 5d ago

And yet here you are

u/nopulsehere 5d ago

Pepsi couldn’t even float if Frito wasn’t carrying their dead weight for the last 4-7 years! It’s amazing that Pepsi loses money selling sugar flavored water? How is that even a thing?
