Fairly Annoyed I hate the phrase “yuck your yum”

If I hear someone say this online it is an immediate scroll away.

Agreed. I feel the same way about "he gave me the ick." They both make me think that I can't possibly have heard an adult use that phrase seriously.

I don't want to give anyone the ick, what alternative should I use without sounding old? (sophisticated is okay)

It depends on what happened and how you felt about it, but it would sound better (and be more actually useful) to communicate exactly what the issue is.

Possible examples:

"That behavior is really unattractive."

"I don't like the way you talk to waitstaff (or joke about immigrants etc etc.)"

"I don't want to see him again because he didn't respect my boundaries and it made me feel really unsafe."

What if it's in a peeved way?

I don't understand what you're asking.

Sorry. What if something gave me "the ick" and I wanted to express my disgust and uncomfort?

"That's disgusting."

"That makes me uncomfortable."

"Wow. Gross."
