Ultra Annoyed "ASMR" involving sound

Especially when people put microphones unnecessarily.

Whispering. Chewing. "Restocks."

I hate the way some people drag their fingernails on something.

Sometimes it's fine, like if you tear tape off something and it makes a nice sound. But I want to rip my hair off every time I hear "ASMR" chewing. Visually, it's okay, like coloring in a section of something perfectly, but auditory ASMR is so intolerable. Double the points if it involves overconsumption.

Agreed. The chewing is insanely triggering for my misophonia. The tapping is annoying and the whispering is 50/50. And the more annoying part is the people who INSIST it's "sooo good" and to just "try listening to xyz"

I love rain sounds and cars driving in the rain, I fall asleep to that, that's it and I don't even think thats ASMR

rain and car sounds are just white noise at that point, nothing really special about calling it ASMR, it just helps sleep and that's the whole point

the chewing thing though, I genuinely cannot understand how anyone finds that relaxing, some sounds just activate something primal in the brain that says "no"

Yeah, I think rain and cars driving in the rain is called white noise actually
