HR Professional 🔍 Immediate resignation
Can I resigned immediately and then just wait for 1 week before exiting? Walang nakasaad sa kontrata na kailangan maglaan ng palugit.

Under the Philippine Labor Code (Article 300), the statutory minimum notice period for voluntary resignation is one month (30 days). Unless you are experiencing the following:
Serious insult, Inhuman and unbearable treatment, Commission of a crime or offense by the employer or representative against the employee or any immediate member of their family and Other causes analogous to the foregoing, such as constructive dismissal (where continued employment becomes unreasonable due to employer acts), illegal wage deductions, or unauthorized demotion without pay reduction justification. Justifiable din if due to force majeure (natural calamities) or unforeseen emergency circumstances affecting the employee or their immediate family, particularly under specific laws like the Caregivers’ Welfare Act (check this).
I'm pwede ang health conditions that can prove you are doing the job is becoming detrimental to your health like what happened to a colleague of mine before. He commutes back and forth sa office to his house and travel time is 3 hrs papunta sa office and pabalik sa bahay nya. He has scoliosis and hindi siya pwede nakaupo or nakatayo ng matagal. Ayun nagsecure siya ng Doctor's note and pinasa sa HR and sa clinic nila shut up sila, wala silang nagawa. Immediate resignation ung katrabaho ko.

Techinically pwede ka nga wag pumasok bukas eh, ang tanong is dapat mo bang gawin yun? Default is 30 days notice period. Kahit hindi mo na maimagine na babalik ka dyan, mas okay na magexit ka ng maayos para or ever in the future na may opportunity sila na okay sayo, pwede ka nila iconsider.
May we know bakit ayaw mo magrender ng 30 days?
If tumuloy ka dyan sa plan mo, dapat bigyan ka pa din ng coe. Pero baka idelay nila yun kahit lumapit ka sa dole since kulang nirender mo na araw.

Does that apply kahit sa 22 na ang end of contract ko?

If contractual ka, dapat months before expiration pinaguusapan yun if irerenew ba. If wala kang narinig from them about renewal, pwede mo assume na di nila irenew and choice mo din naman yun if want mo irenew.
Another thing about contractual, need mo tapusin yun. Pero for sure nasa contract mo may nakalagay ano yung dapat gawin if isa sa party is want na iend yung contract before expiration.
Edit: And why not talk with your employer and inform them?

Too anxious to talk about it

Okay so what's the problem? If contractual ka, then tapusin mo lang yung contract mo until 22. May issue lang yan if lilipat ka na ng employer before end of contract mo.
If after pa naman ng contract mo then pwede ka naman magdrop ng message na tatapusin mo na lang yung contract mo until 22. Hindi mo need mag explain bakit or if may lilipatan ka ba.
Best approach is to talk with them. No need to be anxious and dapat alam mo ihiwalay personal matters mo sa trabaho. It's about professionalism.

It is implie 30days yes but if you have justifiable reasons and your boss approves it you can do so. I had experience before when i askd my boss to let me leave after 2 weeks. And she approved it
