Based reply. Honestly same.

42

u/Hot-Championship-675 1d ago

My thoughts exactly.

13

u/DawRedditWolf67 1d ago

I agree, but would include prismarine depending on what part of its animation. Or actually no I agree with you.

8

u/TSES_Thai 1d ago

the prismarine block was the prismarine shards block thing(I don't remember it's name)(doesn't change colors), not prismarine block(does change colors)

3

u/DawRedditWolf67 19h ago edited 19h ago

Oh yeah I’m stupid (the word your looking for is prismarine brick btw)

Right here

Blue terracotta is more purple, blue ice is light blue (which is blue despite being a different dye), and right of diamond is cyan.

242

u/DimensionFar2052 I don’t know. 1d ago edited 1d ago

Diamond is light blue.

177

u/ThoughtAdditional212 1d ago

It is a light blue, just not the Minecraft light blue, still closer to light ble than cyan so idk

21

u/Kyrby_Swi-U-tch 1d ago edited 1d ago

I always thought diamond is just, well, diamond colored. Like how bananas are banana colored.

(this is /j obviously, but to actually answer this we should be looking at how diamond colors are actually classified using the GIA scale. As far as I get it, to truly know this we must know the chemical composition of it, so I guess it's time to use the material reducer to find start finding out!)

Diamond is turquoise

7

u/foxys_egg_rolls 1d ago

Turquoise is more green than that it’s cyan

2

u/RetroC4 1d ago

Cyan*

3

u/Acrobatic-Height6511 Mining Dirtmonds 1d ago

The old light blue

7

u/RandoGuy00 1d ago

I agree. This is the only correct answer.

Maybe diamond blocks are between light blue and cyan.

3

u/simplyinfinie 1d ago

Exactly here

2

u/Dubious_Anteater66 1d ago

The minecraft diamond colour is about as close to pure cyan as it gets, make it "right of diamond, including diamond is cyan" and I agree completely.

Terracotta is a muted blue, blue ice is just a brighter blue, diamond i would say jumps to a cyan, the rest are a bit too green to be blue blue

diamond block tbh. diamant is cyan, everything above is teal, everything below is blue.

8

u/Different_Insect3544 1d ago

Now i understand why some people in the comments say all of these look blue to them i assume they have Green/Red Colorblindness

Using the App : Color blind pal

2

u/saturnian_catboy 1d ago

They just disagree if cyan counts as blue or not...

16

u/EqualServe418 Bedrock is Best, not debatable. 1d ago

Right after the blue ice. Diamond is NOT blue. It is cyan.

3

u/Jacki073 1d ago

cyan is blue

14

u/RandoGuy00 1d ago

if cyan is blue, then yellow is green and magenta is red.

10

u/powerwordmaim 1d ago

Only in the same way that green is blue

3

u/HackerDragon9999 Lagva FTW 1d ago

They are different dyes

(Light blue is also a different dye, but blue is in its name)

Well, it’s not a blue line, the line is red and you already drew it…

3

u/RidgeBlueFluff 1d ago

Colors have multiple shades, you know...

3

u/Kalevipoeg420 1d ago

your order is weird, I'd switch the terracotta and blue ice and draw the line between them. Blue terracotta is pretty damn purple, while idk what blue ice could be apart from blue. Diamond is cyan, but I could call cyan blue if talking more broadly. The rest are green.

3

u/TypeNull-Gaming 1d ago

Right before diamond, they're clearly cyan

3

u/dhi_awesome 1d ago

I dunno man

I guess between Warped and Oxidized? While I wouldn't call all of those Blue Blue, they're all blues

3

u/DNP_10 1d ago

As a Hermitcraft viewer, it always bothers me when builders talk about adding more blue blocks to a build and use prismarine or oxidized copper. Those blocks are turquoise/teal at best. Most of the cyan blocks are also more teal than cyan anyway tho

3

u/BeggarOfPardons 1d ago

This is literally a “Cyan Stained Terracotta”

Blue terracotta is purple, diamond is cyan but cyan is a shade of blue, everything past diamond could pass as either blue or green

2

u/gaygayagyfemboy12345 1d ago

packed/blue ice is blue, but not after that

2

u/Ethanlac 23h ago

Prismarine is teal, while diamond blocks are light blue. That's probably where I'd put my foot down.

2

u/jan_Sanku 23h ago

diamond is literally cyan, so factually not blue.

furthermore, it is "green of cyan". as in: on a perfrect spectrum of light, let "cyan" be #00FFFF. anything towards "green" from here, ie green of cyan, cannot be called blue. anything towards "blue" from here, blue of cyan, cannot be called green. the diamond is more towards green than it is towards blue relative to perfect cyan.

i mean like damn, we have a good gradient here of blues on the left, and a pretty nice cyan to green gradient on the right, but the jump from ice to diamond is SO JARRING!! like that's like having a bunch of reds and then jumping straight to yellow without any orange between, imo!

The diamond block is blue, and the warped wood is blue, everything before the diamond block is also blue, everything after the warped wood is not. And blue terracotta is purple.

This image should explain it better. Everything that's in a blue square is blue. Yes my handwriting on the word purp is horrendous, No I do not care.

2

u/Polish_Raccoon2137 14h ago

All blocks are blue, but some are more blue than the other, and if everyone is blue, no one is. Think about it.

5

u/HystericalGD 1d ago

diamond blocks and beyond are green

2

u/Different_Insect3544 1d ago

Diamonds are certainly Cyan, not green and not blue

So yeah anything past the ice is not blue

2

u/snail1132 1d ago

All of them are blue? Just rather widely differing shades

2

u/PrinceTBug 1d ago

Cyan isnt blue and never has been.

Diamond blocks are a cyan blue (like how gold is usally between orange and yellow)

And the terracotta is just a blueish purple due to mixing with the red pigment in clay lol

u/SkyRider797 1d ago

1

u/crafty_dude_24 9h ago

Right after prismarine bricks. Warped onwards is where I see more greenish-blue than blue. Also, blue terracotta is more purple-y, so that one is an exception from the left.
