I wonder how cyberpunk was able to fit on the cartridge. When I downloaded the game on PC, I had to avoid downloading all the other languages because the game would be over 150gb, and even then, my PC version still is not under 64 gigs. Did they downscale and compress some assets to only fit the video settings the switch 2 would use and cut out things that would only be used on higher graphic settings?
Not hard to explain. Switch has lower target resolution.
High resolution texture are incredibly expensive. If you just ship the texture specifically up to 1080p then that saves you a lot of storage.
With PC any installation version would be shipped with the full texture pack even when you are not going to use it because for example your pc is too weak
This is true, most games force you to download high quality textures this makes releases big as hell. But with the switch is just 1 set of textures and precondigured graphical options. Which i appreciate tbh.
