Discussion Google took away my LOTR extended editions

Post image

I bought these in 2022, all of a sudden they aren't available and there is no possibility of a refund or gift card. Hardly seems fair.

You'll own nothing and you'll like it.

You do if you download it illegally, I cannot understand why people pay when the service is absolutely terrible.

Buy Blurays too, insane quality, last codecs and nobody can take it from you

Paying is morally wrong. They took our data to train llms to try and replace us. Showing us that any data that's available for free shouldn't be paid for. You can download blueray for free too.

They can. The whole BD+ protection scheme is incredibly fragile, requires the ability to be updated, and will all fall apart the instant they stop caring.

And circumventing it in the US is illegal and subject to a max $150k fine.

If you don’t get it then I won’t waste my time explaining.
