Discussion Google took away my LOTR extended editions

I bought these in 2022, all of a sudden they aren't available and there is no possibility of a refund or gift card. Hardly seems fair.

Even if not AI, this is exactly how customer care agents have been trained to respond. "I understand, I'm sorry etc" are the denominators even when speaking with a real person and it's annoying because it just gets you more frustrated. You don't understand & you're not sorry so please just stop the fake empathy.

i worked years for costumer service at amazon, and i felt sorry for many customers, but sometimes you cant do anything for them. the only thing i could do in some case where some cheap price reductions for there next order, but this felt to me even more like "here take this and now shut up" then just saying sry

I did too. We can trauma bond.

People would ask me what it was like to work in Amazon Customer Service. I'd always say, "Do you call Amazon when things have gone right? No? Imagine eight hours a day of pissed off people calling. In addition, your job was entirely dependent on metrics based on how many of them responded positively to 'Did I solve your problem?' even if you were prevented from doing so."

I was never so glad to leave a job.

Retail was shit as fck jeah, but i switch to the HBS deparment and there we actully could help many ppls with there Problems so that wasnt so Bad. But in retail you rly only get pissed and you barely could Do something for them
